The Overclocker Australia forums are really active but they only have a small group of mechanical enthusiasts.

Mid-morning in the UK, just you know. Nothing going down, because the American's are asleep (Except Spamray, he doesn't do sleep, just spam)

We should like tag the place while everyone sleeps, blame it on banksy.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

You can see a users local time if you go to their profile, assuming they've changed it from the forum default, which I have not, and am going to do right now...

edit: fixed it now

Auction timings are usually GH time. So you either need to switch back again, or make sure you know the difference at the back of your hand :))

Haha yeah I did that from 21-24 - I'm a night owl so I liked the hours but my body hated it, was sick constantly.

You bet, sometimes this place can save your sanity at around 4.00AM  8) .  When you do shift work there is no real life any more, not until a fortnight passes.

You get use to it.  Got to get full-on 7 hours of sleep.  If not then it's torture for another 12 hours straight.

it still takes a toll on your immune system..

Certain things are in our design... the highs/lows of the day...

It's true you can acclimate to it to an "extent"... but it took us millions of years to evolve for morning activity.

I remembered going to the Doctor's last year due to our annual health check and he said everything is perfect.  No trouble with the immune system, lymph nodes are what they should be and heart/circulatory system is perfect for a person my age.

Since I got bitten all those years ago, I haven't had any colds or infections whatsoever.  In fact my doctor says I might end up living for a few more decades yet.

In fact I now prefer working at night because it's so much cooler, no flies engulfing your respiratory tract and of course no burning sun cooking you alive.  My mrs says I'm now like a vampire always avoiding the sun at all costs, I should probably get a coffin to rest in  8) .

Says the guy still living in yesterday ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Looks like I do not post between 11pm and 3am.

I wonder when I posted at 4am ...

Unless that is forum time.  But no, because a lot of my posts are at 8am, which is when I, having started work, find a few minutes to send off a few quick replies to posts that occurred overnight.

Pretty much my schedule, I do remote support so I've always got downtime to browse GH while waiting for stuff to re-install. Doing it right now!
