I made the switch a while ago, haven't looked back.  I pulled out my Leopold FC200 to do some coding recently, and have had to make do with a non-flipped spacebar...

I flipped my spacebars before I got my 660c and boy when I got mine it was quite the knife bar. Surprised that customs let such a deadly weapon through.

I think I would like the flipped bar, but it just looks so ugly. And the space bar is a massive pain in the ass to remove on the 660c. I'd probably end up breaking the keyboard if I took it off too many times

Some of the keys on the bottom row are accessed via _thumb_ such as =alt=,   but most are not... like the windows key, or right control /left control


only keys that uses the thumb benefit from the flip, due to the flipped contour conforming to the angle of the thumb pointing upwards.

I agree with TP4. Just like the 0 key on the topre numberpad, only keys hit with your thumb benefit, and all thumb-accessed keys should have a lower angle. Usually only japanese keybaords get this right.

I would agree. I meant to put a picture of my HHKB, but it doesn't show up well. On that there is no control key, and I find both the buttons usable with my thumb. For a normal layout keyboard I wouldn't flip left or right control since those are meant to be pressed with your pinkies not your thumb.

For me, it depends on the spacebar. Topre and SP's DCS feel better to me flipped, but SP's SA and DSA are good normal orientation. Guess I'm saying that I don't like sculpted spacebars?
