Favorite Concerts

As a lover of live music, I'm curious to hear about everyone's favorite concert.

I guess I'll start: My favorite concert was Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros in Boston this June. I've been wanting to see them for years and they didn't let me down; it was just a shame that one of their singers left before I got to see them :-[

Rock the bells, the year rage against the machine reunited.

Line up was insane.

The roots, cypress hill, nas forgot nas never showed up and murs had to fill in for him, living legends, immortal technique, felt, and the closing acts were wu tang clan (with redman) and rage. The hype was real.

Plus I saw three girls pretending to get high off a swisher sweet.

Copying reply from First Concert thread:P

If we're doing favorite concerts, it's a hard choice but I'd have to pick every time I've seen MuteMath.  The energy at their shows is unbeatable.

And it doesn't hurt that the singer/keyboardist, Paul Meany, walked out into the crowd and sang with me.  :D

But then I saw The Flaming Lips at Summerfest with Joey Quinn, and HOLY **** that blew my mind.  It's hard to make a claim like this, but I think that was the absolute best show of my life, and it will be damn hard to beat.

That's the one!

The LA date was the second time rage performed since their reunion. I think coachella or some hippie festival was their actual reunion.

I lost my voice that night. Crowd was so hyped the cops started pepper spraying people because they were rushing towards the stage. I'll never forget that day. Don't think another show will live up to it tbh.

Still the impericon concert I went to almost a year ago,
Terror,Comeback kid, Stick to Your guns, Obey the Brave  in a 1000 people venue. Craziest concert I've been to.

Wow, all of your pictures make me feel like my concerts were inadequate, but hey, I had fun.

Here are the some of the better ones from the Edward Sharpe show:
107221-0
I made everyone get there early so I could get as close to the front as I possibly could
107223-1
107225-2
They spent a good amount of time improvising, and they sounded great. They also let people come up on stage and sing which was pretty damn funny because some of the people singing should never have been up there. I've got videos of some of them; they make me feel better when I'm sad :p

Another enjoyable aspect of the night was my girlfriend trying to find the setlist for the show, little did she know that the tour's name is "Live In No Particular Order."

While I'm sharing, here's a couple of shots from my second favorite concert: Flosstradamus and Childish Gambino:
107227-3
107229-4
The school gave out free pizza during the concert. I don't think that I will ever see that many pizza boxes in one pile ever again.

Favorite concert so far has to have been Trans-Siberian Orchestra a few years ago with me and the wife.  Sorry, didn't take any pics as we were to busy listening to the music.  There is something strange and nice about an electric violin/viola (not real sure which one they use).

Seeing Rage against the machine & Muse @ LA rising was probably the best show I've ever been to although I'm not too into the wild shows. Someone started a fire in the pit, it was nuts.  I'm seeing Edward sharpe & the Magnetic zeroes this summer now that you mention it. They're playing at the "Life is beautiful festival." Bombay Bicycle club was also phenomenal live.

I saw Death Cab for Cutie on the weekend - hadn't really heard that much of their stuff before but they were really good live

Best live concert though would probably have to be the Nine Inch Nails / Queens of the Stone Age double show last year - so much awesomeness

Between the Buried and Me, at Tremont Music Hall in their home state of NC. What a great concert. Small venue too, which made the show that much more awesome. This was when they ran through Parallax II in its entirety. Sun of Nothing as an encore? Absolute yes.

I got to see this tour in Nashville backstage. Friend got me into the show and I was off stage left. Incredible.

Ugh don't make me pick a favorite show. I would probably have to say Iron Maiden at Madison Square Garden. Or the Acacia Strain 2014 Christmas show. Or when Snoop played my college. Or that thing I saw a few weeks back with the cincinnati Orchestra playing the star trek soundtrack
