Lmao. Actually I so rarely drink (like a handful of times in years) that I can definitely say it's the taste. That said most beers I've tried do taste bland though, Guinness is the only beer I've legitimately enjoyed the taste of and if it were possible to produce a non-alcoholic version I'd buy it.

As for the effect I dislike the dulling alcohol has on the mind. It's not entirely unlike valium in that way (took it prescribed once while recovering from concussion IIRC and it feels like one's mind has lost all sharpness). Obviously some like that aspect but along with hindering the metabolism of fat while the liver is trying to purge it from our bodies it's not ideal.

I mean this with no disrespect Coreda. But you misunderstand the EFFECT of alcohol.

The dulling of the senses, maybe nausea, stumbling, babbling, blurred vision.

All of those things are SECONDARY to the Dopamine Rush.

ALCOHOL = Happiness.   There is no if, but, also. it's a 1:1 analogy

That is how your brain interprets drinking, REGARDLESS of any other side effects.  for light drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, coffee, marijuana, snus,  these are the ~200% dopa triggers, Equivalent in chemical strength to natural high during (secs). 


For example, Normally, when you throw up, your brain creates a memory , don't eat that again, or don't do whatever it is you did that made you throw up. BECAUSE it may have been poisonous.

I'm talking about enjoying the taste of a specific beer though. If we instead look at wines there are probably more varieties you would agree have a pleasant flavor. I mean, I find it hard to believe you'd consider all alcoholic drinks taste the same and any opinions on taste are entirely based on positive brain re-enforcement. Seems more likely there just haven't been any beer flavors you'd liked.

Remember, most beer I didn't enjoy the taste of (that fwiw aren't associated with bad experiences either, in fact the opposite), which put me off having beer for the longest time so I'm not coming to the opinion I enjoy a particular taste solely from some effect it had.

I understand some drink simply for 'happy' factor but I drink so rarely to care for it so when I have the consideration was down to taste. In a way it's like a light, non-sweet but distinctively tasting soda which is nice when one isn't after something overbearing and pairs well with some food combinations. The downsides regarding fat metabolism and the mind dulling aren't worth it though, personally.

I don't disagree that the preference of taste exists, or that someone might enjoy a typically disagreeable taste.

HOWEVER, in the case of ALCOHOL,  what it tastes like does not matter.

For example, your first ever cigarette.  You probably dragged on it a bit too hard, took smoke all the way into the lungs,  coughed, painful.

That AWFUL sensation is a way of life for smokers.  How did that happen, how COULD it happen.

That's the power of 200% dopamine lvl, and -desensitization- (with continued use).


It doesn't take much, it's EXTREMELY pleasurable, you may not even be aware of how good you feel, but every time you imbibe, your brain jots down in its chemical recorder, Hurray, we did it again guys, we've conquered LIFE.

It's not as Obvious as Cocaine/Meth, but it's at the PEAK lvl as ordained by nature, Beyond which is neurotoxic..

They can be waterboarding you,  if you're doped up,  the brain registers the experience as pleasurable, DESPITE you knowing obviously that waterboarding is not fun at all.

As a previous recreational user and supporter (still) of legalization I wasn't aware that each plant requires ~6 gallons of water per day. 

They're is some worry that legalization in Florida might significantly drain 'the aquifer'.  I am a bit worried about that tbh--they can desalinize salt water too but at what cost to the environment?

Not only do they barely go through 1 gallon a day per plant, but even using a hydroponic system that DOESN'T recycle water(like 99% of them do) you STILL wouldn't get through 6 gallons a day. That number is 100% fabrication on every single level of inspection.

I don't know which one they refer to,  But Just growing tomatoes outside, summer time , use LOTS of waters, same with melons.

Obviously the amount of water needed would vary based on whether the farming area orientation is vertical or horizontal, lighting equipment or sun exposure, soil drainage, etc..
