I’ve toned it down a bit and will have 1-3 drinks a night from cider/beer/wine/scotch depending what is in the house and how I feel.
This is when I’m on day shift, when on nights I just go straight to bed.  This is about 3 weeks of each.
Dropped an inch from my waist with that change, just need to be mindful of my meal portion size now.

I consume water every 2-4 hours in order to make myself stay hydrated. Sometimes, i slowly breathe and start to fall asleep because i don’t drink enough water.

I used to be an irresponsible douche that thought he knew everything.
As I grew up I realized I was pretty average.
The more I started to see the damage of alcohol to those around me the more the thought of drinking myself silly wasn't appealing.
The less I drank the more I started actually reading about things that interested me and found hobbies. I'm definitely happier now than I was, dunno if alcohol had something to say about that.

Heroin ruins your life, in that way , we can say it tastes-bad.  HOWEVER the user's brain gets HIGH. Addicts associate the HIGH with their debilitating lifestyle.  Even though they become aware that it's all awful, the Chemical conditioning is there to keep cycling their behavior towards the same outcome,  UNTIL their physical system finally breaks completely.


For example, we see addicts get-DRY in prison.  But as soon as they come out, they go back to their dingy neighborhoods, the familiar walks, the wandering around the same set of associates. Initially they may rationalize this behavior as,  They're Lonely, They're looking for friends, etc. However that's actually inaccurate. From the 3rd person perspective what they're saying would be correct for a non-addict.  However, as addicts,  their brain is actually actuating in attempts to resume drug-use behaviors.   In order to attain drugs, they need to be around shady characters, they need to be around back alleys, they need to reconnect with the original SYSTEM which facilitated getting-high.


This is also the same for On again/ Off again relationships..   Looking for that High of physical intimacy,  people wander back to old spots and associates who provided that original set of service exchange.

I think it's difficult to correlate the behavior of fruit flies and rats with human behavior, but there is evidence of shared DNA among people and other animals.

It's not unreasonable to consider that there may be ancient traits associated with certain markers or sequences that manifest differently or have yet to manifest.

Ancient traits like sexually frustrated fruit flies that found that the older the fallen fruit is the more they can party like it's 1999.

Well for the most part. Humans tend not to eat their young when stressed out. Very interesting findings nonetheless. Shows why huge areas of cheap government housing always results in the area becoming volatile and dangerous. But then you gotta wonder why a rural place in Alabama has a higher murder rate than a place like NYC, humans have this instinct to be socially accepted and in places that you need considerable wealth to afford generally have much lower crime statistics. Some people try to link that concept to race, but that is complete bull****, it's almost 100% environmental.

Whether or not the child succeeds is something independent of the parent's intention/motivation for their over-parenting.

To be clear, We are talking about Over-Parenting as parallel to mice infanticide ,  Not outcomes.

These parents are consuming their children's life and happiness as a personal project.

They see their children as an extension and property, because of their inability for personal advancement, they choose the easier life-game of coaching someone else.

Advancing as an adult is difficult, both intellectually and physically.  However, these moms choose the path of least resistence, that being making kids do kids stuffs.  Kids stuff isn't hard for an adult, that's why they choose it. This type of parent has themselves abandoned personal growth to become the ultimate nagging babysitter. What they can't do for themselves, they police their children to do.

What tigermoms/ overparents do is fundamentally a selfish act and a means of self-aggrandizement.

The human overparent is effectively consuming their children's life.  The overparent does not provide GUIDANCE, Instead of letting kids LIVE LIFE, the overparent institutes tyranny, the child is dependent and helpless. As to why they do this, I've already explained in the previous post.

This is the same TYPE of behavior brought on by boundary stress, the inability to expand. For the mice, it's territorial, the box is only so big,     for humans, it's personal improvement, the parent is only willing to read xx many books for themselves, run xx number of miles.


The test is really simple,  You ask a kid , what he wants to be, if he says Lawyer, That's overparenting.  Kids can not possibly understand something as complex as lawyer, and even if he did, he would NOT want that job.  So the difference is,  a parent GUIDES a child through processes so that the child MAY(May not) eventually discover on their own that being a lawyer is a worthwhile useful occupation.   The overparent throws SAT books in the child's face starting in middle-school, makes him do stuff like Kumon, and tells him,  BE a lawyer.


I read this funny analogy the other day,  There are 2 kinds of bird,  1 Kind that can Fly,  and The other Kind which can not.    The nonflying birds are the most h8ful of birds, because they sit in a nest, lay an egg, and yells at their progeny to try harder.

For example, in a real eco system, death is part of the equation. whereas in the experiment, death is seen as failure/ colony collapse only, and not as a component of the response system.

Lmao. Actually I so rarely drink (like a handful of times in years) that I can definitely say it's the taste. That said most beers I've tried do taste bland though, Guinness is the only beer I've legitimately enjoyed the taste of and if it were possible to produce a non-alcoholic version I'd buy it.

As for the effect I dislike the dulling alcohol has on the mind. It's not entirely unlike valium in that way (took it prescribed once while recovering from concussion IIRC and it feels like one's mind has lost all sharpness). Obviously some like that aspect but along with hindering the metabolism of fat while the liver is trying to purge it from our bodies it's not ideal.
