heh - can't go wrong with 60g, I'm all over F and M boards, which would explain why those clears were so nice. Gold springs... at least corrosion won't be your problem. ;p I bet they feel nice, though. Sifo: what did you use for the lube? I want to do the stems on my ghetto board, since it almost feels tolerable, but they are not quite right after being handled and re-inserted. I hit the main alpha keys about 1k times each to help break them in, but it's just not pleasant enough yet to use as a daily. =(

RO-59 is in my board which seems hard to come by... can try Krytox stuff on ebay, heard that was really good (but pricy)

I've been using a 55g clear board for the last 2 weeks it's quite good, probably my favourite variation of clears, like all MX you can't really compare it to Topre in the end they just feel different

I have a Rf in 55g, it's quite unlike anything else - I very much enjoy typing on it - but I just couldn't game at all in any game which required spamming, those domes just completely refused to cycle quickly for me. =( By bouncing keys, I can get very short duration presses, and high repeat rates out of mechanicals, even M and F boards (damn - should have showed sifu, in case he could have taught me any new tricks).

They look a helluva lot better in person. On-line I found they looked a little cheap, but in person they looked great and were solid as can be! Very tempted to pick one up now. Both switch styles were nice, hard to pick a favourite.

My other favourite was the Seiko Seikosha 8620.  Very Topre-like design, but unfortunately some of the rubber domes had aged and lost their holding power...

Just got a chance to read through the pictures: This looks like an amazing meetup! I wish I could have come, but it'd take me a while to bike to Canada.

Some things I notice:
1. There appears to be a kishsaver assembly there. Did you drool over it properly, or were you all enamoured by the burroughs?
2. Whoever brought the T50RP has excellent taste.

I notice Haata was present. I assume he is to blame for some of the excellent vintage KB's there.

ro-59 is actually a dry ptfe lube, while krytox is a wet silicone ptfe mix. the closest equivalent i've found to ro-59 is tri-flow dry, which is your basic ptfe in light oil solution, and comes in a fluid (the cheaper blaster stuff is only available as an aerosol). dupont also makes an unexcitingly named dry ptfe lube; i think it's named like dupont teflon dry lubrican or some such.

I like my RO-59 more than whatever MMB put in my Filco. I'm up for sharing it cuz as tsangan said this is enough lube for well over 10 boards and I ain't ever gonna use it all.

Since I see it's finally been mentioned here, I'll address it (and no, I couldn't make it there - the board in question is owned by dfj, and I did supply him with it):

The "Kishsaver" as a small group of GH IRC members named it 1-2 years ago is going to be properly revealed when I finish writing a web page for it, complete with photos and other information about the system it's actually for. Complete with that information will be pointers to help locate them, but they are very hard to find, and the vast majority of sources who claim to have them, do not.

Some people here know its full identify and information, and to them I provide continued thanks for not spilling the beans - I likely won't have any motivation to publish the web page anymore if that happens (what's the point?).

ETA on the aforementioned web page is "soon"; it's my only real project currently aside from my car.

Thanks for the tip on tri-flow dry.  I'm going to give it a try and will probably end up using it to lube switches for my LZ build.
