Hey, did that guy reply you or explain anything?
Since he said that pexon pc is his friend (real life perhaps), maybe you can try to pm him and ask what's going on here. :)

I had this situation before just few weeks ago and luckily mine was solved as I got my money refunded (but not my item).
I hope you may get resolve soon :)

This is precisely the problem with Bartering..

Which is why most large trades in real life are done through a PAID-middle-man to arbitrate in case of default..

Escrow.com and transpact.com offer these services.

Transpact is 9.99USD / party.

these may be mentioned in a sticky in the classifieds. If not, could be Worth It.

EDIT: further research says I may be a little wrong here. Its possible that one party has to be putting up cash. Details are a little fuzzy, but so is my head. Its freaking late and I'm doing this on tapatalk. Whatever. Could be a startup in the making, or at least a new division at amazon.

If you have his address, why don't you send British GHers to... persuade him... to give you his CC?

This sort of discussion is a good reason why such threads get locked.   Implied or explicit personal threats are not okay.

'murica is very seeeeeerious.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Following up on this thread - when this all kicked off I sent AvJaB a polite PM linking him to the thread and asking him to do the right thing, he has contacted me recently to say that he has been getting all manner of threats sent to him and says if they don't stop he will be going to the police.

He wants the thread and his account deleted but I've suggested he returns the keyboard first, he has contacted megaxpop and ensured me he will be returning the keyboard but the threats and dox'ing needs to stop in order for this to happen.

I'm going to link the mods in on the situation as well and will post here with any updates as they come in.

Appreciate your intervention.
It truly reflects the community aspect of GH :thumb:

I'm pretty sure if he returns the keyboard to megaxpop, megaxpop will return him 20$ and everything will just be fine. His name will be clear from doubt and very likely this thread will be deleted. However, to make this thread deleted, he should make the first move first.

Ill keep it short and to the point.
There are reasons why I have not been at my computer in doing so not seen this thread/been on geekhack, recently I have come back to this and it has beeen rather overwhelming.
I have messeged an admin and mega, admin is being kept in the loop for the whole thing and I have asked mega what he would like, he said cash, the cc or his keyboard.
To clean this up quickly ill just take the cash offer for the sake of haste.

@bazh I have been unable to get on the internet due to personal reasons, thats why there has been no explanation, contact with mega etc.
I just feel a bit annoyed that so many people felt the need to say hateful things and send me messages on other forums etc without getting my side of this all.
I will be sending him money later and just want all of this to be over.

Well after reading this I still didn't got your side of things besides that you are going to pay the guy up what you owe (which is great). I am sure you have your reasons of being inactive and stuff but seeing the board went through many forums to be sold for different prices it seemed like you want to get rid of it quickly without anyone noticing. In my mind from what I read from your post is like saying: I took a car from car dealer, didn't pay for it, I tried to sell it around, no one bought it, now everyone knows the car is not payed and I am going to pay the car dealer for it just to get all of this to be over. I am not saying anything but whenever a future deal pops up and you want/might be part of it there always will be the guy that will link this thread about you, so you will be better off explaining your reasons to clear your name at least if possible.
This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.

I am also watching this.

I think the more eyes are on this, the better. As someone who has been scammed a bunch of times before, especially in the bad old days of the 1990s (ie before the average geek here was born) when internet transactions were still new, this is a topic that always draws my concern.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

But since November you have been quite active on BT, and posted a few sales in the marketplace, so it would appear that you have been able to get on the internet....

I search you name, posts, last 3 months on Bit-Tech then I get lots of results of you posting throughout December and throughout January.

It's great that you have now sent him some money.... That wasn't your trade - what happened to your skull?

I get that it's great that it's resolved and everyone is happy, but just not sending your half of the trade, for months, and then rectifying it by paying someone some cash is a little unkind. Anyone can get cash - people get excited and look forward to skulls, I for sure would be a bit annoyed if I had traded for something I thought was great, with an item that for all intents and purposes really wasn't a bad item, and at the end of it months down the line I finally had cash?

Like you've not at any point said that you did or didn't send the skull, you have never said it's been lost - so what, you are literally just dishonest?

On the internet your reputation is everything - yours has now taken a significant beating accross a few different boards.

Ive said im not going into it, i cannot be bothered wasting more time on it when you guys clearly just want to start an argument.

the reason i have sent him money is because he said he wanted one of the three, the keyboard, cash or the skull, for convenience and speed i have just sent him money because im sure he would rather have cash straight away.

Discussion over. money sent, im done.

Actually an explanation from you would have gone a long way.  I saw you browsing the forum after this thread was created, a number of times (I saw you looking at my Classifieds thread, for example).  You've had time to post your side of the story here, and surely it woudln't have come to this conclusion if you had a good argument in your defense.

You can't bother wasting time? What about the guys time you scammed? Wow if someone was accusing me of something I did not do I would be all over it rather than avoiding argument/discussion, especially if my reputation was on the line. You are a known scammer from now on in my eyes.

Not an argument bro - an opportunity for you to actually give your side of the story, so that every person reading this didn't just think you are dishonest and not worth dealing with - like I say, people aren't just on Geekhack, this is now over several forums that you are not to be dealt with because you are dishonest. I know for a fact I will be watching your marketplace dealings over at BT carefully.

All you do here from the first appearance is just complain and acusse us of wasting your time by this drama, wtf dude ? How about my friend's feeling, not time wasting and tired ?  The money at this point doesn't help the fact that you've been acting like a scammer, lie about the delivered time, put the kb for sale after received, hiding somewhere when the arguement was still here for talking,... what else do we need to call you scammer ? You just get what you deserve
