Anyone else out there tire of the switches they liked using and swap to a different switch and love it and then find yourself going for another one in a endless cycle?

Whats special about the outemo v2 housing? Right now gateron yellow is my favorite, after trying many other switches.

I started with clicky switches for the novelty of the click, then moved on to tactile because the click is annoying after while, then moved onto linears even though I think clicky/tactile is more exciting, I think linears are just a better typing experience. I tried cherry reds, built my own linears with cherry brown spring, gateron milky housing and cherry black stem, then finally moved onto gat yellow which I think I like best so far.

yeah I have consistently moved from one switch to the next pretty much monthly. But I like to think that it is all part of the process of finding the perfect switch. I still like to think that I can find the perfect end game board/switch and get out of this hobby permanently so I can finally save some money lol.

Nice taste in switches, sir.  I also have all of the switches you've listed above and rank hako true and purple pro up there in the top for sure.  I also really like lubed stock clears and lubed cherry blacks.  I find myself tired of a switch after about a week.  I will start thinking that I hate all of my keyboards, and then I pull out something I haven't used in a while to find it's actually pretty nice.

I also have found that I really like the 67g zilents too.  And when I'm really feeling like I've wasted all of my money on switches I hate I pull out my Dell bigfoot or SSK.

Oh, and for me the worst thing in the world is when you find something wrong with your nice keyboard.  Like when you find that the spacebar hangs if you push it just a certain way on your $500 build.  And once you notice it, you can't stop from pressing it just that way.  These are good times to go out and get some fresh air or sketch something with a pencil

Did your gateron yellows become lighter with use? Or heavier? What changed over time?

Some keys became noticeable more scratchier. My asdw was super scratchy compared to the keys that haven't been used a lot.

No idea i lubed the stems only not the housing. So who knows but it's clearly that it's the leaf that causes the issue.

Which switches are both clicky and super light ? (read: lighter than mx blue)

Kailh speed bronze are pretty light and very clicky.  Also there are Kailh box whites (same design in a box style with a bit more travel).  You could probably put a lighter spring in an MX blue or a modded switch with aristotle stems.

I don't really switch to often; more so just acquire a bunch of switches then wait til I have something to put them on; then switch entire boards.

Narrowing my preferences to tactile and linear currently. Have a ton of vint blacks I need a board for, but I think I might just replace the navy box blues on my ALFx2 with those (ever since we found out it was cracking stems I haven't used it.). Looking for the right end-game board for some HPs. It's pretty fund trying new switches; really changes up the typing experience for me.

While I have switched between a bunch of different switches/boards, I think I've found my favorite being 55g Topre in a Realforce. I'm really satisfied with this.

Happily thocking on that with a Norbauer case!

I don't stick to the same board for more than a week at a time usually - most of them are in rotation over the course of a year or so. The only board that seems to get more playtime than the others is my PC Singa with C3 tangerines in. I actually have them in three boards, but the other two barely seem to get selected. I've also got a soft touch for anything tactile from plain Zealios, to Pandelios, and even the new Outemu Sky switches.

This isn't a bad thing - part of the beauty of the Hobby is being able to change and try different things.
