What is your End Game switch?

I've searched the forums for this topic but couldn't find it.

What is your favourite switch?

At the moment, they are Kailh Box Whites, but I am sure that will change once I play with more.

Hall effect switches that have ANALOG,  + recalibration function as the magnetism changes overtime.

I would like to see optical do this as well, but leds are less stable than magnets unless they use an expensive drive system..

Other than that, MX-Blue is already mechanically perfect.

What is your End Game switch?

Could never say for certain. From the wisdom of Yoda: "Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future."

It would very likely be based on a contactless sense means (Hall Effect etc). It generally seems like contactless sensing permits maximum flexibility in switch designs, for the most interesting and robust mechanisms.

Currently: The buckling springs in my (late) Unicomp are my favorite switch to date. So possibly the (reputedly superior) buckling springs of a Model F or a beamspring might quality as my "endgame".

A super-smooth completely silent Cherry MX Clear with variable weighting.

I have wondered for some time if that could be realised as a modified Topre dome with helper spring. Dome for tactility. Helper spring with steep force curve for achieving cushioning after actuation.
