Tp4 has been a major proponent of n00q_ular p0wr.

Even now, Tp4 believes the fundamental engineering challenges ARE SOLVABLE.

However,  There are Easier BETTER ways to get power than Solving those challenges.

Is that why they call it the hot seat  :))

Also I did find a case where an entire school was shut down due to radiation. Can't say I'd want to live anywhere close to this.

Amen to that. Anyone here got that George Foreman grill rigged to a timer so they can wake up to the smell of bacon? Factory farms pretty much are evil so no way to sugar coat it. Animal products are always better if you can raise them yourself but with limited land and current world population density this method of food production doesn't scale well. There are some crucial vitamins and nutrients lacking in most commonly consumed plant foods so cutting out meat entirely on a long term basis isn't ideal for optimal health.

Unfortunately JP, that is not accurate.

The only nutrient lacking for anyone attempting 100% Veggie is B12.

But understand also that Meat does not contain B12 naturally. The only reason the meat WE EAT has any B12 at all, is because ANIMAL FEED is supplemented with B12.

B12 is an output of Soil-Bacteria. Because our modern world has a great disconnect with Soil/ Dirt, Filtered chlorinated water, vacuum cleaners, Concrete Jungle, etc  natural exposure lvls have become too low.

As for B12 lvls in the general population, It's can be low even in people who consume animal products.

The only people who are in the higher range for B12 are those who consume alot of Reinforced products, as B12 is a common additive for that genre of food.

[Edit] some truth to the B12 stuff. There is B12 synthesis from intestinal bacteria in humans and animals. In the olden days livestock manure was commonly used to fertilize plants which helps with getting B12 on a more plant based diet.

That article is the Doctor Oz type media, where if you're too lazy to do research, and just want to find someone who agrees with you, you link them.

That ok an attitude and personal choice. I genuinely wish you well on your journey to cancer , and I DO HOPE that you are in the 75% of people who survive their first heart attack.

I say this with no malice or jovial intent, merely that these consequences are statistical certainties for this segment of consumers.

Really? I think you might be lacking in some animal products in your diet. That article simply highlights some general facts which might serve as a basis to do some further research on your own. So take it with a grain of salt if you will and maybe find some relevant science which coincides or dispels the key bullet points of this short little article as a positive contribution rather cursing me with cancer because fact xyz doesn't fit into some pro-vegan agenda. The article lists items available from animal products not available from plants. Big deal. Now whether they are all crucial or not is a better topic of discussion. Or better yet, perhaps discuss some of the other components of animal products which might be bad for us.

And finally the conclusion of this article offers some reasonable and practical advice:
"Vegetarian and vegan diets may be very healthy for some people.

However, there are a few important nutrients that are impossible to get from commonly consumed plant foods.

If you plan to completely eliminate animal foods, then be extra prudent about your diet and make sure you are getting everything your body needs."

Also thanks again for the cancer I got from that comment. I will survive it while I enjoy my daily bacon. But seriously though for the past 3 years my health screenings have been great. Very very low bad cholesterol and perfect blood pressure. I also do exercise stuff. So although I am a proponent of eating animal products I will say I think most people would be better off eating less meat, more veggies, fruits, less processed foods, and sugar but not eliminating animal products just consuming meat or other animal products more sparingly.

That statement is absolutely False.

The things commonly listed by animal product proponents are Either non-essentials such as DHA (which all current research point to greatly increasing Prostate cancer, and High grade Prostate cancer),   Or  they're Straight up carcinogens such as Heme-Iron.

Again, Tp4 years ago was of the same mindset you are, But that is because there had been an ENTIRE SIDE of the argument that Tp4 never bothered to read.

At the Time Tp4 was more concerned with winning arguments, than with money. More concerned with eating costco Chicken than lying in a hospital bed.

I can not make you research or listen to information you do not want to hear. I do not know what age you are, but the most sobering moment for Me personally, is when I took a tally of all the older people I knew 50+, 80% of them have cancer / heart disease / diabetes.

Now the populist wants you to believe this is NORMAL.  IT IS NOT, there are localized and reasonably large populations (blue zones) which completely defy the western national statistics. Loma Linda California, Sardinia Italy, (Original, Okinawa, Pre-KFC Mcdonalds), etc.

Years ago I worked for an architectural firm and we were laying out a restaurant.

The owner paid quite a bit of extra money to extend the duct from the exhaust fan over the grill area to run all the way to the front of the building and discharge through a vent in the front eave - over the sidewalk where people walk !

From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The Congress shall have Power

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

You took a small sample of data so that should be good enuff.

Blue zones diets are good. They don't not eat meat BUT do so sparingly and it's the processed meats that are the worst offenders (bacon, sausage, cold cuts). So non of that Popeye's. Also diet is just one piece of the puzzle but of course a major one. Other factors like stress, exercise, lack of sleep, drugs, etc play into maintaining good health. I'm still gonna eat my bacon flavored cancer sticks but with moderation.  :thumb:

Jp, you do not have to wind back very far to recognize that none of the information you now hold and are presenting are from researched sources. They undoubtedly came from general disseminated media such as reddit science, and plebian culture.

This is not meant to sound disparaging, but the result of what you've heard is very different from the result you'll get if you actually attempt some open-minded research.

The motivation for that is hard to come by, typically it takes a heart attack or parental-cancer. All the same.  I've seen you around on GH to know you're not an off the street fool. The correctness of eating 100% Veggie, should be quite obvious to you if you took the time to actually look into the matter.

It is very easy to be comfortable with possessing youth and to equate that with a form of invincibility.  Unfortunately the YOLO agenda is strong and precisely what pharmacom and carcinogens inc are counting on.

Consumer information obfuscation is deliberate , is played at new levels, and is in fact causing harm in sums greater than all world wars.
