In the southeast, for at least a decade, I have had the impression that Aprils have been almost as cool as Marches.

Certainly early Aprils have been cool, and I also wonder whether Marches are getting warmer.

In East Tennessee it hit 84F/29C for 3 days this week but last night it was just a couple of degrees above freezing (they did have frost at higher elevations).
I was nervous about my still-tender garden but it survived.

The peak is usually in the 30s, the highest recorded temperature is 38.7C (101F) which I'm aware is only just warmer than your average Texas summer.

Still 25C in April is pretty rare, equal to the highest March 29th temperature on record. The highest April ever was 29.4C, but it hit 29.1C on April 19th last year, so meh. Climate is weird.

Texas regularly sees 110F-115F or 43C-45C highs in the summer time.

Jesus. I remember it being about 109F when I was there a decade ago spending a couple of months visiting friends after university, but I figured it was just a warm year, haha

I remember hearing about a record temperature of 109F/43C

It was a daily *LOW* temperature in Oman a year or 2 ago that set a new world record.

Now that is some serious heat!

Sadly no, as Jerry said summer is 30+.  I'd rather live further North :))

I know right, haha - it's too hot for my liking in the summer, I prefer wrapping up than having to try and cool down.
