i'm addicted to youtube 2x speed

ever since toiling through hundreds of hours of video lectures in college at 2x speed, I really can't bear to watch any youtube videos at normal speed anymore. anyone else have this problem? most videos that are informative i'll run through at 2x speed, some things aren't really watchable at 2x speed like someone playing a sport or something, but I basically watch on 2x whenever i possibly can. who else has become a youtube 2x convert?

Oh, lectures and presentations from conferences.... I often watch those in 1.25× to 1.75× speed depending on the speaker. But that is mostly because those speakers are crap at speaking and have not rehearsed beforehand. When a speaker is good at speaking, I don't need to increase the speed at all.
But 2× speed... no.

I sometimes feel I've got too many videos in my Youtube subscription feed that I feel that I must see, but actually... I could live my life just fine without.
Instead of consuming those quickly, I tend to watch them in a window while doing other tasks on the computer that do not require all faculties of my mind: (such as visiting forums..).

Depends on what I'm watching.

Some things need proper pacing or time to digest while other hosts speak so slow that higher speed helps.
Really just depends on content and host but it's pretty rare I go over 1.5x.

1 day, Tp4 will have an optical port installed @ dat back of neck,  and we can stream 100gbit direct to wetwire interface.

Can't do the whole 2x, 1.25-1.5x yes but as was mentioned depends on the subject.  Only things I will watch at normal are normally for my benefit or great interest.

I also have started doing this 2x and since I have been able to keep track of the information  I have kept doing it

Yes I do this with any car related video (because exhaust sound !! and it looks too fast in 2x)

but then corporate finance , econ , talk, i will watch in 2x! : )

Think of it as high refresh rate monitor. once you get used to it  you notice when people are talking slower than usual. And you can adjust the speed this way.
