Vance doesn't want any competition in the 2028 primaries.

With all the opposition that Trump/Vance has had lately, a martyr to rally around could have been quite timely.

That might sound cynical, but ... I have absolutely no belief that such an action would be beneath them.

I was just assuming that it was the son or grandson of any of the myriad people whose lives were crushed by any of many things the Republicans have done.

But chances are that it was a member of any of the groups or classes or races or religions (or lack thereof) that he railed against.

I got this as a quote or list by Kirk, but I can't find proof of whether it is legit.

I’m concerned that my friends on the Left are guilty of making the same unsubstantiated claims that they accuse the Right of. It is probably not in the best interest of commonality and unity to pass on hearsay or cynical guesses that further stoke the heated rhetoric. Agree or disagree with Kirk’s positions, he was willing to dialog with all people in a polite and public setting. Unlike many anonymous cowards, he engaged publicly and peacefully, fully aware of the risk. I did not follow his movement closely, but if he was disrespectful in any public conversation, I must have missed it.

He specifically stated gun deaths are acceptable as long as the 2nd Amendment is upheld, and not to mourn or show empathy towards victims.
Let us honor his request and stop talking about him.

Could you cite that reference for me. I’ve never heard it.

'I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.'

'I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made -up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage.'
