Best linear switch nowadays (2026)

Last few years I've been using Oil Kings.
I dont follow new releases - what is the best linear switch now?
Pre lubed, ready to use.

Hard to say what is "best" because of personal preference.  But I put my money on HMX when it comes to linear switches lately.  HMX is all about loud and clacky sound profile, though, and that's not for everyone.  They do offer a few lower pitched switches. You will have to look over the details of the plastics used, as they are usually pretty good at documenting the plastics used and the sound qualities of their switches.  MAaaaybe BSUN for lower pitched, but that can be hit or miss.

I prefer lower sounds. So oil kings gonna stay then.

It’s crazy how many people are still rocking Oil Kings, even though I’ve personally never tried them! They definitely have a massive, loyal fan base for a reason.
