Looks almost as bad as the M's I pulled out of the e-waste recycler a couple years ago. Some were even dirtier lol. Can't believe they will work with some cleaning considering how bad they look.

100 white dampened Alps switches courtesy of merlin64.  Feel nice and smooth with a pretty good tactile bump.  Looking forward to giving these a go.

I found out just a few months ago. I remember the Japanese Vita 2.0 coming out, and wondered if I should import. Completely forgot about it, and many months later I found out it was released Stateside already. Hopefully GameStop restocks them since they're currently sold out, but they don't seem to be selling well since the price is also permanently reduced.

Vita stuff is getting sold off and no restocks stateside from what I understand, check wallmart and target to find deals, they keep marking down the memory cards (If you see a 16GB for $20ish grab a load thats super cheap and send me one k thx)

But yeah you best start looking as shops are culling all the vita stuff, as for the slim which is what I have its much nicer, slightly worse screen (less sharp and vibrant) but the battery life is so much better, also only difference between a US/EU and Japanese Vita (I have the JP one apparently not sure how) is the X and O button is swapped in the main menu otherwise thats is once in game its fine, and vita is completely region free which I love nintendo needs to stop locking games.

TDLR; Find vita now as stock is getting sold off no more restocks, if you find mem cards cheap let me know, check ebay you get sick deals on vita slims and only get slim battery life on the OLED original is poor

I heard about the Vita screen inferiority on the Slim, but that doesn't really bother me much. The Slim would be the first Vita I'd have anyway, so I'd get used to the screen quickly.
I just bought a New 3DS XL, so once I sell my original 3DS XL I might hunt that blue Slim. I had no idea they were region-free, so I guess that opens up more options!

Edit:
I'm also not in too much of a hurry since I don't plan on getting many Vita games. Many of the ones I plan to play are remakes are sequels, anyway.

Ahh right well I would still advise you keep a eye out for the memory card as they are very expensive and proprietary too :/ otherwise everything is region free bar DLC for games, which require you to have the psn account be from the same area, otherwise games play on any vita which is awesome.

Screens not a issue at all, I never had a OLED one but I have used one, didn't noticed too much difference it just looks warmer to me, slim is the way to go, like I said only difference between the US and JP one is the X and O button are flipped for cancel and yes.

Finally Nioce 3DS I have the old Pikachu one, can I recommend you buy Shovel Knight for the that game is AWESOME, also GBA you gotta backlight that though :p

HLJ for a "friend" yeah suuuuure budddie

Haven't the Japanese Sony consoles always been like that, though? I know the American PS had that button swap in earlier games, too.

Is it good? I think I remember putting one in my wish list, but couldn't decide which version of Shovel Knight to get (that is, for which console). Ordered Extreme Butoden and should be here today.  :p
Yeah, that GBA is backlit-modded.  ;D

Borrowed an HHKB from Quakmz to test fit a stem I've been working on, the keyboard came in the mail this morning.

So far not terribly bad, but could use some finishing work for sure.

Does the Norton use annotations? I'm a fan of Norton, and Frankenstein is one of my top three favorite novels, but I don't know why they made you choose a specific edition unless they wanted you to utilize Norton's annotations.
Silly, as Norton usually uses translations, etc., that are cheaper/already in the public domain.

Most people don't care what edition you have as long as you have the text. The only reason I would assign a specific edition is if the annotations were good and/or the introduction has some good information. It is annoying though. You could just buy a cheaper paperback/use a free version but they make you have to get like the 20 dorrah version or something. Sucks but meh. Hilarious though, considering your prof didn't even utilize the essays in that version of your book. Rude.

The editions do matter, especially for translated texts. Nevertheless, for Frankenstein it wouldn't matter that much. My professors were cool and said the editions weren't as big a deal if the text was nearly identical (for English-written works, however). I got my BA and MA in English, so I was used to getting novels for all my classes. It got too expensive, though, and toward the end I just ended up finding what editions I could from the local library.

Seeing as Flood's text is a Norton edition, I'd imagine the professor wants to use the annotations, but I can't imagine the annotations would be that critical for Frankenstein, unless you don't know the background that well. It would be awful if Flood's prof doesn't even make use of the essays/annotations, but it wouldn't surprise me.

He's just really particular about these things. We didn't even read any of the essays that are in this version.

 :(

Oh, ha ha! Didn't see the later replies.

Nice reapers, congrats.

Don't remember getting any tracking, so seeing this package in the mail today was a surprise:

The super silver looks pretty good with carbon colors:

If email counts, I also learned that I have to wait 1 year before I get to go to flight school. The wait is going to suck.  Context: I commissioned Army NG Aviation so I get to fly the UH-60.

Yea it was pretty useless to have asked for us to purchase this text. He was taken back that someone wanted to use a non norton edition that they had previously bought. I'll go back and read the extra content on my own time as I am interested in what others have to say, but for this class the book didn't provide anything to me besides page numbers for quotes.

I'm hoping this starts a new thread where people post interesting emails.
