"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

A pessimist will tell you the cup is half empty. An optimist will tell you the cup is half full. An engineer will tell you it's exactly twice the size it needs to be.

What is that?  :-\

avantgarde instrumentality,

/experimental design to deprogram one's existing brain patterns/ dogmas

Very basically, oversimplified, our brain has a Stress --> Resolution program.  The music we "like" works in the same way,  a certain chord progression induces stress, then resolves that stress, for example 1-4-5-1,     We approach the entirety of identification of the stratas of "LIFE" this way.

Hunger --> Stress --> Eat --> Resolve.    By intercepting stress patterns with an interrupt stimulus that is a strong enough departure from normal inclination,  it is possible to reprogram/ redirect towards novel solutions

avantgarde instrumentality,

/experimental design to deprogram one's existing brain patterns/ dogmas

Very basically, oversimplified, our brain has a Stress --> Resolution program.  The music we "like" works in the same way,  a certain chord progression induces stress, then resolves that stress, for example 1-4-5-1,     We approach the entire identification of the stratas of "LIFE" this way.

Hunger --> Stress --> Eat --> Resolve.    By intercepting stress patterns with an interrupt stimulus that is a strong enough departure from normal inclination,  it is possible to reprogram/ redirect towards novel solutions

I guess you need to eat vegies while listening to this?
:P

The use case is,  /craving -> Interrupt stimulus  -> veggies

Veggies is the novel solution, the avantgarde music is the interrupt

As for the actual musicality, well, there's no reason music must resolve/ be pleasure inducing, we've had the crisis of tonality for a long time which lead to the formalization of the 12 tone system under Schoenberg which does not use normal chord progressions, and sounds more random.

If we observe nature, the vast majority of auditory stimulus DO NOT resolve.  General Tonal Music as we know it is an anomaly and artificially concentrated to produce very narrow pleasurable hijacking responses in the brain.

Fixed that for you.

Personally, I started enjoying avant garde music many decades ago, after being primed for it by my love of crazed guitar solos in the late-1960s-early-1970s.

While Tp4 is not opposed to extremely aged hughmahns such as fohat doing the dr00gs.

Tp4 does not support dr00gs for younger hughmahns.

Do you own speakers ?,  Do you sometimes wish they sounded broken,  -> Avantegarde Music.

While some of it truly is noise, there are also sublime and beautiful moments that can be hidden (buried?) within. And this is definitely an artform where live performance is infinitely superior to recordings.

To your earlier point, as in real life, there is enormous pleasure and satisfaction to be had in recognizing small finite expressions of profound beauty within a greater whole of chaos. And the experience of discovering it or "teasing out" of a miasma of cacophony can be something like finding a wildflower growing out of the leaf mold in the forest, or seeing a seemingly fragile flower growing out of a crack in the asphalt.

Nobody can listen to it all the time, but as a counterpoint to "consistently beautiful" pieces like Chopin Nocturnes or Bach Concertos where there is not a single note out of place, it can be refreshing.

"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. Here is an example of a performance that I attended a few weeks ago that perhaps demonstrates what I was trying to describe.
