I've read
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=22474.0, and am a proficient user of xmodmap, xev, etc. under Linux (where my editor of choice is vim.) So I can and will make those mods.
What I don't see is how to move the
{Fn} key -- if that is even possible.
I'd like to change the bottom row from:
{Ctrl} {Win} {Alt} {Spacebar} {Fn} {Win} {Menu} {Ctrl}To:
{Ctrl} {Fn} {Alt} {Spacebar} {Up} {Down} {Left} {Right}But I suspect the
{Fn} key does some something entertaining in firmware before the scancodes exit the keyboard. Is that the case? Can I move/re-map
{Fn} and still get (e.g.) F1 through F12?
Again I am comfortable with xmodmap and xev and even keyboard layouts in Linux. I am also happy to whip out the soldering iron if needed.
And there is a Poker in the Classifieds at this very moment.
If someone knows the answer, please advise!
Thanks in advance,
