Went out to get my mail today at 2:30 PM... none of my packages are there... the mailman is usually here by now and all of my trackings say "out for delivery."  I'm getting worried :(

Got my springs! Really loving these 55gs under reds.

Is it normal for the new springs to feel and sound more "grindy"? Can that be fixed by lubricating them?

Also, how do you guys go about opening up switches without one of The_Beast's tools?

I got my springs today too! Thank you so much for doing this! I can't wait to test these out in the Clear switches.

Mailman was later than usual but as soon as I saw the status that said it was delivered...

Tested.. 62g springs and 67g springs..

10 diff springs each, bottomed out...  truncated decimal, the all lean in the "right direction" towards rated specs.

tp4issue: how exactly did you test them and what tools did you use?

Got home too late today, so the remaining orders will ship out tomorrow.
Sorry for the delay.

Not very scientific, using coins;tested ten of each spring, I got the following results for actuation using black stems.

55g 5S 45-47.5g
50g LL 40-42.5g
Gold 62g (lubed) in my Poker 48-50g

Edit - Here comes WhiteFireDragon Guess I was wrong :)

I tested the springs by putting them into the switches.. and then held them upside down using little calipers of a stationary pcb-holder  then they're pressed slowly down against a digital scale.

I checked very closely with the light to make sure the housing is not pressing down on the scale.

^ You're actually useful for once. You get the benefit of the doubt with those numbers, but just keep in mind when you hold it upside down like that, you'll be 1-2g off because it doesn't account for the weight of the stem or caps. Not too big of a difference though.

WFD should have received his springs by now. :)

I came home to 5 new packages, one was springs. The only package I opened was the 660C. I'll play with everything else later.

Hi,
I assumed I would have gotten my package long ago since I'm also in California.  Should I be worried?  What address did you ship my order to?
thanks

Are any of you guys willing to part with your newly acquired springs?  I'm interested in 62g.

Thanks!

How did you find out? Did you talk to the postal guy? Maybe the person that got them will drop them off in your box.
Anyway, I don't have any 62g springs, but hopefully a few people can give up 10-20 each. Just make sure they're the same 62g springs :)

I wen't to the post office and they told me that I was basically "out of luck".

Does anyone know of a place I can buy them?  I know about https://www.originativeco.com/store?page=1 , I actually tried to buy them from there a while back, but my credit card would never get accepted?  Don't know what kind of payment system problems they are having.  Has anyone had any luck with originativeco.com?

I lubed up my Clears and tossed those 67g springs in them and they feel amazing.  I can't wait to try them out on my GH60 and see if they feel as good on a keyboard as they do loose.

Are the 67g springs lighter vs. stock clears?

Yeah, they feel quite a bit lighter to me.  I'll have to solder them in place to see if they're really perfect.

Using nickels, I got 13 on it to actuate, so a hair over 65g due to the key cap, so they're pretty spot on.  They feel just a hair heavier than the 65g springs I've used and give pretty much the exact amount of tactile feedback I want.

So it took 65g to actuate? I figured they'd actuate way below 67g and be ~67g at full compression like how my results turned out with 50g/55g springs. Also, did you use red/black stems or clears to test?

PS - ABS double shots weigh 1.2g and Imsto Thick PBT caps weigh 1.3g.

I used my Clears, not Reds.  They actually started having noticeable compression at around 40g and appeared to hit the bump at around 50-55g.  Just to overcome the bump and spring, they had to have 65g on them.  I tried with a Red I have, but couldn't tell when I hit the point of actuation.  I saw it compressing, but couldn't tell when I compressed enough to actuate.  They did seem to bottom out somewhere around 65-75g on the Red though.

And I didn't use double shots or a PBT, I used this sucker since it's nice and flat:

I'm guessing it's about a gram, maybe a little less.
