But it looks like GH as a whole has gotten a LOT bigger, more than 19% in less than 4 months! At this rate GH will be ~25K short of 1M by the end of the year!

Scratch that, because of all the deletions and posts "not counting" and such it looks like GH already passed 1M! By hovering over my previous post it looks like that was the 1,008,990th post! That's nearly a 200K discrepancy, WTF?!

Maybe 823167 is just the number of posts in the database, with gaps where posts were deleted or lost.

As ambitious as this idea is, I've seen threads with far less posts (500k or so) bring down a forum due to poor db indexing.

Doesn't everyone clear out all their old SpAm? SpAm != posts, so you are correct that I am against any deletion of posts.
