I don't think Ducky has ever used White (Milk) switches in any of their keyboards.
not yet, but soon.

The Ducky 78 had a few milk switches in it.

Well I was thinking of full MX White boards, not the 78.

Oh wow MK is getting in Dark Grey, White and Green switched versions of these!? That's awesome - and tempting. If only I still liked full size D:

The only drawback for me of a fullsize is that I can't fit it in my backpack.

Haha, same thoughts here.
I'm buying a 2nd FC700R (I want a white one) and this board as soon as it's released.

I think the real question is:

Green, White or Dark Grey.

Dark Grey is appealing because I don't think any other manufacturer will make a full DG keyboard.

I'm picking Dark Gray.  I typed on some MX Red/MX Black boards today at Fry's; and I think I wouldn't mind something just a wee bit stiffer then Blacks.  I haven't had a MX Keyboard in a while due to going crazy.

Kind of makes me wonder if I'm a candidate for Cherry MY.

Thinking like a collector: I want Dark Grey maybe even though I HATE stiff linear switches (ugh Blacks) just for the sheer rarity of the board.

Too bad the rare switches don't come with Blue/Grey PBT caps.

I think that switch is one they can't source enough... the Shine 78 edition didn't come with any MX Greys except for a keychain switch.

I read in a Chinese review for DF9008G2 Pro PBT that the fonts on the keycaps are very "rough", or have a lot aliasing if you know what I mean. Is this generally true for all PBT dye-sub keycaps?

The Vortex ones from feng's groubuy have those sorts of issues. Ducky's promo photos seem decent, but quality might vary between boards.

Well, while waiting for a reply from Ducky about the keyboard that's listed as having "White" switches on MechanicalKeyboards, I had a careful look on Ducky's Facebook channel...  and found this page:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ducky-Keyboard/117547488320354

With the following description by Ducky:

"Ducky Keyboard
February 8

(Global) Ducky Dye-Sublimated PBT Keyboard with Cherry Black, Brown, Blue, Red, Green, Grey(Linear), White(Clear) switches.

So there we have it.  The switches are going to be MX Clear, not MX White.

Very irritating continuation of my switch investigation!

http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/ducky-nordic-keyboards-keycaps-projects-and-misc-stuff-t4718-540.html#wrapper

(can't figure out how to get a perma-link to my post, but it's a bit down the page, starting with the gray keycap photo and ending with the last post on the page).  The Ducky Nordic guy claims the switches are MX White, but everything I'm seeing there still suggests MX Clear.

I don't know why it's so difficult :(

I only wish Ducky released those keyboards with other keycap colors (white/beige).  Would have had use for the switches AND keycaps (for my TKL keyboards).

Yes, the MX Clear is the one I've been waiting for (if you see my obsessive investigative posts above and in some other threads).  The less common switches were only released on boards with gray keycaps.  I REALLY want the white/beige set, as I love that combo.  But I have no reason to buy those other colors of switches.  I would love the MX Clear board with white/beige keycaps.

Maybe I should see if anyone wants to trade, if they are looking to buy one of the plain gray varieties.

Already have a Deck so Clears are out, so it's either Greens or Dark Greys.

Greens would be my second MX Green board that I previously sold (the first DK9008G2 Pro edition). Dark Greys would be for comedy because I wouldn't dream of typing on even Blacks.

Considering getting the Cherry Brown version from PCCG. Would it be better to get one of these? Or wait for new releases, such as the WASD V2? I live in Australia, so potential shipping costs for importing the WASD could be prohibitive... but let's assume that that isn't a factor.

I would just go for it if you're considering it, unless there's some specific reason you're waiting for the WASD. This keyboard looks to be an extremely great value for what you get - thick PBT dyesub caps frequently sell for north of $90 for the keycaps alone.
Alternatively, you could buy the WASD with no keycaps and put one of these Ducky sets on it, but that's assuming that Ducky even releases these separately from the keyboards.

Dark gray switches or dark gray caps? ^^

I actually considered the dark gray switches, but don't have the funds free. If anyone wants to loan it out... ;)

Ducky vs. WASD v2 basically comes down to: what stabilizers and keycaps do you prefer? When you remove shipping from the equation, the WASD naked will be cheaper - by far. WASDv2 with keycaps? Probably still cheaper excluding shipping. Build quality? Both top notch. Switch availability? Ducky has the edge. What seals the deal for me is that WASD uses wire stabilizers and Ducky uses Cherry stabilizers. I absolutely hate wire stabilizers.
If WASD offered a v2C with Cherry stabilizers though? I would buy one in an instant. So you know. Get on that guys.

...aaaaand they've been released in Australia  ;D

My order has been shipped, so it should arrive either today or tomorrow. I'll put up some pics as soon as it does.

I went with grey / blue caps and brown switches (unfortunately not much choice in switches on pccasegear.com, otherwise I might've gone for clears.

Photoelectric, I'll pm you re caps...

Mine shipped the day after I ordered it, and arrived two days after that. I ordered from MechanicalKeyboards.com

Min arrived two days after they sent me the note saying it'd been shipped.

It looks a little something like this (apologies, I'm not a photographer. Also, the date stamp is permanently stuck on the camera lol):

What it came with - all this plus a USB cable (not pictured as it's already ziptied in place lol):

Switches:

Thick PBT Dyesub:

Doubleshot WASD:

If you have any questions just post away and I'll do my best to answer!

i currently have a das blue mx and thinking about getting the ducky. I've always wanted PBT key caps and this seems like a very good deal. i'm looking to get the browns as i do a lot of gaming that requires double tapping and I heard that browns are better. i also seem to like the sound of the browns better according to youtube demos.

so tempted!!

is the build quality on par with filco? and what stabilizers does ducky use? I've read that costar stabilizers are much better (like the ones on das) and that ducky uses different stabilizer types.

Ducky quality is fine.

Stabiliers are Cherry.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
