I'm happy to see that none of you are judging your favorite place by how hot the hookers were there.

Now that you mention it, what is your opinion?  :))

At home? I mean it, I love to be at home with my beloved ones. I have visited awesome places, but any time to return back home is the best part.

Have to agree.

Hawaii for me also. Went with a friend, for free, got off the plane, took a taxi and immediately rented two Harleys ($119 per day). Cruised the big insland in style for four days. Was awesome. I think the laid back attitudes was the best part.

they're not laid back.. they're lethargic because of the heat, if they had to do anything intense, they'd sweat to death.

Deep down they're the same human beings who are total jerks given a cooler climate.

Have you ever been to Hawaii? I have a vacation house there and the weather is great. It's the about same temperature all year long. There is only about a 5 to 10 degrees difference between the summers (75 to 85) and winters (65 to 80) there. The southern part of the United States is much hotter than Hawaii most of the time.

It depends... I need less than 20 °C, especially at night, and when it's more than 25 °C I turn into zombie mode. I suspect  there's higher humidity as well. -_-

Who doesn't have an air conditioner though? And it's usually around 65 to 70 at night. It is pretty humid, but I live in NYC, so it's not a big deal to me. The humidity is about the same at both places because they are both islands.

Well, yea, but my point is you don't GO all the way to Hawaii for the AC right??

If you want AC... just stay at home, and stare at a sunny hawaii poster... CLOSE ENOUGH....

There are tons of hot hookers here in Vegas, but also plenty of ugly ones.  Depends on your budget LOL.  Why bother though?  If you aren't super ugly, and have any kind of game, there are plenty of females out there who will boink you for free.

With this kind of "logic", you can just move to Siberia. They probably have  some sort of heating nowadays.

I'm for it during the summer. I much rather be in Hawaii at 80 to 85 maximum during the day than at New York City with 90s to 100s during the day. Hawaii is cooler than most of the United States during the summer (expect for Alaska).

My father traveled to Puerto Ayora and the main hotel there didn't have AC in most of the rooms, and the ones that did were extremely difficult to book.

Endzone! Why do you like Savannah, GA? Just curious!

Also, I love Seattle and Pittsburgh!

I just loved the little parks in the downtown area.  Also liked the white frame houses and southern look to the city.  Also whenever I would meet pretty girls, it always had a good impression on me.  A friend and I went to a hairdressers convention for the whole state of Georgia there at the hotel next to the gold dome.  We snuck in behind a crowd that was going into the party room.  There were just women everywhere that wanted to meet guys.  I met this real cute 25-year-old blonde.  I guess I was about 33 at the time.  There is a long flight of concrete stairs that runs next to the Hyatt hotel there by the gold dome courthouse building downtown there.  I'll bet there are at least 100 stairs in 8 flights of stairs.  She said, "I can't go up there in my high heels".  Then I said, "Hold my drink".  She did and I picked her up with both arms in front of me.  I took her right up, and I was in such great shape I wasn't even breathing hard when I got to the top.  She wanted to go to her hotel room, but I wasn't into one night stands.  I guess it's also stuff like that that makes you remember places.  I can still see her face in my mind today, and this was back in 1989 or 1990.

One thing I miss about Seattle is the great smoked salmon.

Yes, Brittany and Normandy are excellent, I like the channel islands slightly more due to the Anglophone culture and preference for islands in general.

I talked with an young African fellow last week that was just sitting on the metal bench outside of a grocery store here in Ft. Worth.  He was from Nairobi, Kenya.  We got to talking and he said Mombassa, Kenya (coastal city) just has beautiful white sand beaches and that tourist come from all over the world there.  There are nice hotels on the beach.  He said there are a lot of Americans working in Mombassa.  There must be a lot more places in the world with white sand beaches than most of us know about.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Been lots of places in the states.  Had good times in nondescript Midwest towns, had horrible times in beautiful places in the American west.   What matters more than the place is the good times you have with people you love.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing
