Should I buy [A second phantom kit]?

Already have one, got my soldering gear coming in today, itching to try it out, never built a board before, and for $80, all I'll have to buy is switches and a case.

Reasoning to get it;
I want to build a board and this is cheap
I want to try ergo-clears and this is a good opportunity

Reasoning to not get it;
I already have 5 keyboards
I have no idea where I'll get a case

No. I would spend it towards something you haven't yet experienced. Whether it be keyboards or not.. If it's keyboards you could try a different switch, or try an MX board that's on another tier E.G a KMAC

My only other two boards I've been really interested in are an Ergo-Dox, but I don't wanna wait till that goes up on massdrop again. Tad has one for sale, but I want the experience of building my own. Then there's a 38gt from GON that I was also interested in. I'm trying to keep the overall budget of the next board around $250 before caps so either of the two would fit into my budget. Then begs the argument that I've never used an ergo board.

I vote for the modding stuff. You should try and figure out what you want to mod your Blacks to before you get anything else.

If you're still <25 years old and have the time to grind videogames senselessly, and enjoy grinding videogames,  Then yes.


If you're older with 'other' responsibilities, then this stuff will mostly end up on your steam account with 1hr playtime each for the next 5 years.

only thing i have to consider, kawa is doing that Lube GB, so i will need to have money on hand to pay for that..don't want to not be able to pay my order and miss out

This. With the ErgoGP coming up not much point in another dox. Should have all the dox stuff, plus fancy upgrades (wireless, leds) and somewhat better thumbs if that's your thing.
