Another thread by me!
But no, seriously, this is an issue that's been stuck in my head for far too long and I need your help!
A bit background - I've tried Blacks, Reds, Browns, Blues and clicking on a single Clear switch. From what I've found is that the Browns and Blues are no-go for me, since I feel the browns to be too annoyingly scratchy and the blues just annoys me with the sound. The Clear switch has this tacticle bump but I'm not sure that tacticle switches are something for me (other than Alps and rubber domes, if you now can call them tactile).
Anyway, I'm now torn between MX Blacks and Reds. I've been typing both on two different Steelseriers 6GV2 boards and I can already say that I prefer the MX Blacks over the reds BUT, BIG BIG BUT! I'm a very accustomed Lenovo X220 typist that uses some sort of scissor switch and so here's the deal - I can't choose between MX Blacks and Reds because I believe that if I choose the Reds I'll adapt quickly to them and no longer will want nor need to type on a heavier switch like the Blacks, however my FIRST impression between the Blacks and Reds were that the Blacks feel better. Do you have to follow your first impression when you choose switches or is it something you learn to love from typing?
As a reference, I love typing on my Lenovo X220 I have at home but here at work I'm currently typing on a Dell Latitude E5430 which feels like silk to my fingers.
I'm sorry for being so unclear but this is the best I can explain my situation. If you've got any questions do ask!
Thanks in advance!
