Solid design.. though $200 is a bit much.. prolly cuz it's low volume run.

if they could get this down to $100 - $120.. it'd be a much better sell. 

I realize mini-itx is niche, so prices will be higher.. but, $200 mmmm... ~ . ~

its a very niche case in the niche mitx market (which is building steam recently, its like the hipster thing to do lol)
personally for what the case offers, its a great bargain if you're looking for a subtle but very functional and sturdy mitx case.
that being said, i'd prob save some $$ and just get the Bitfenix Prodigy.

I myself use the Corsair 350D, which is a mid tower that only fits mATX so go figure lol

Reminds me quite a lot of some of the cases abee and windy have had. It is really rather nice, but I agree they could really get into the market if they lowered the price to compete better with what Lian Li, Silverstone and etc are offering in the form factor.

Funny enough, Lian Li is making this case.  I think the main motivator behind price is the low quantity.

I meant against stuff like Lian Li mass produced PC-Q** line up. Though maybe if we are lucky this case will come as a Q** model later, or some of those features will come into widely available cases later on at normal prices.

Get a Full tower and call it a day.. it's just easier..

- They reached their 600 limit on the initial roll-out of the production campaign but are making some qty beyond that 600 available.

- Also, there's a new perk launched: a top cover with no cut out for the Optical Disk Drive (ODD). LOL. It's been so long since I cared about discs that I temporarily forgot what ODD stood for.

- Note though: there are only 30 NoODD perks left of the 160 available. (I just ordered one about five minutes ago).

Case looks awesome, but I usually skimp on case costs to spend more on parts.  200$ is a bit high for me.

Yup.. that's always been my plan after being completely underwhelmed by $200 cases  TWICE.

For an extra $100 on graphics cards, you get almost 30% more performance, or if you already bought a top end card, you can get the aio water cooler mounted and reduce heat by 20C.

At $200, it's a bit hard to justify buying 3 to sit in my basement where they won't be seen. Very nice though.

Mini ITX isn't niche, people are realizing you don't need a 3 foot tall case anymore.
I rarely build ATX for customers anymore and usually only use MATX for customers needing a powerful video card. Smaller is easier to hide or stick on a shelf. People love not having some big huge box sitting under their desk and are shocked when they find out they can get a whole system inside a shoebox.

The premium for mitx compared to matx is still niche. Majority of small computers are matx. Why pay more for an even smaller form factor? Also remember overall PC sales are down altogether, more people just buy laptops these days

Here lies the difference between N00bers and us.

I built an mitx a while back out of curiosity in the bitfenix.

Worst experience ever.. Where do I put all the harddrives.  and the places they let you put the drives are always hot spots with no air flow.

I've had a bunch of seagates in enclosures die on me.. all the ones I've taken out work fine.. so heat matters..

Yes, the majority are matx, but it sometimes just depends on what parts you have available to pick from.
One I built recently it was $10 more for MITX and another was $70 due to what the customer needed and what was available.

prodigy is good.. but it's bad for harddrives.. my 3tb ran an incredible 60C load

I've been following the NCASE design process for a while and I've put money down for one.

Thinking I might rebuild my HTPC into it, which is currently mATX. No real driver, just want to do it for fun and I think it looks pretty. Not to mention quite smart with all of the options of where to put stuff.

Over the years my HTPC has scaled from being full of expansion cards, down to just a graphics card now.

My goal is an air cooled completely silent system with a positive air pressure design to keep it clean. I'm so happy with my Silverstone FT-02. No sound, tons of air and squeaky clean!

That is rather impressive and sleek.  I bought a Lian-Li A71F a couple of years ago, and plan to use it for all my future performance builds.
