If you're really worried about it just ask them to send you spares, I asked Logitech for spare G9x feet just in case I'd ever need them since it's one of my favourite mice and they sent me a set free of charge.

You really shouldn't have to worry about wearing out your mouse feet for years unless you are using a sandpaper mouse pad. It's just a gimmick companies use to sell you a little something extra, or for people who legitimately scratch or had their feet fall off.

My g300 feet only lasted a year. Logitech sent a whole new mouse.

Then it would seem that surface does make a difference, since my G5 saw several years of use on a SS 5L pad, which is sort of hybrid, and while the feet are showing wear they are still usable.

I have the SteelSeries 9HD and although I like it much it wears the mouse's teflon pretty quick!

I JUST TAKE THE MOUSE FEET OFF. THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO LIKE TO PEEL OFF ANYWAYS, ESPECIALLY ON DELL MICE FOR SOME REASON.

Yeah hard pad does wear it off faster, that's why I stick to soft pad or hybrid pad. 

Or just get replacement mouse feet every 6 months or so.

Honestly, I'd be more worried about my left mouse button becoming defunct long before my mouse feet wore off.

I use a hard mouse surface and I've never had the feet wear off.  I have, however, gone through multiple mice due to exhausting the left mouse button to where it becomes mushy and no longer clicks.

I have had a mx 518 since it first came out and have replaced the feet at least 5 times because I was using hard gaming mouse pads.
the buttons still work perfectly and I have had that mouse for about 10 years.
