Rain analysis in Atlas 14 are severely out of date.  100 year storms are only 10 year storms now due to climate change.

This means all matters of civil engineering on today's construction projects are already inconsistent with reality's flood risk.

The gobamant says they're on it, and will have a revision by 2027. '

Between July and August of last year,

the united states experienced 5x   1-in-1000 year rainfall events.

all i ever wanted was a car, a job, and a girlfriend
the things every other person on the planet takes for granted
but after trying everything i can for the past 9 years, and every year things getting worse, i am so ****ing tired and demotivated

i just don't understand why. i don't understand what is wrong with me. these things seem to come so easily to literally everyone else, and i work so hard for so long trying everything i possibly can and still fail at everything. it does not make any sense to me.

NT, society has conditioned you to want the first 2 , in order to win the favor of the latter.

In reality, while it is true we should be competing in "some way" for female favor,  the economy is entirely nonsensical and destructive to the planet.

All of humanity is complicit in a broken system of behaviors which generate misery for most people regardless of material / social success.

The few people who can truly escape the pervasive modern nausea are exceptionally ignorant/oblivious/simple/myopic.   It is my personal belief "ONLY" that I'd rather be a sad-person than a moron.

We are already at the tail end of the anthropocene extinction.   Try to RELAX, it won't be much longer.  In all likelihood, life on earth has approximately 5 to 30 years left. The largest (2022 update) bio-diversity index tracking 38,000 species, hundreds of scientists worldwide, has recorded that 69% of animals have died since (1970).

If we survive the next 5-30 years NT, perhaps we will meet on the Fury Road.

They don't. It is a question of momentum. Once you have momentum, it does not take as much effort to get up that hill. But it is as difficult from the bottom as for everyone else.

If I'm not mistaken, you live in the US also, which is not a fair society.
Just the fact that the society is car-dependent keeps people down. The prevailing stupid societal attitudes in the US keep people down and depressed.

I think that the best way (for me at least) to feel better is to experience new things, and to socialise with people. A positive attitude is contagious, and if you spend time with people with a positive attitude then you'll experience that too.
I used to be active doing cosplay (with a shoestring budget BTW), and I would always fuss and worry before an event, but eventually at the event, I experienced so much positivity that it would last me for months afterwards. That is my advice: find a social activity, among people IRL.

Finding a secure job and romance does not come naturally/easily for most people, it's extremely hard, I know I'm young so it has a lot less weight, but a lot of my friends struggle with love, like really badly. I can't give advice on anything, since I've never had a job (I focused on school instead) and at this point I'm pretty sure I'm Aromantic but what findecanor said does sound like good advice, good luck with all that.

The old saying "In order to have a friend, you have to be a friend." is absolutely true.

"Social" media is, in my opinion, a powerful impediment to social interaction.
It can be invaluable as a scheduling device for "real life" but all too often it just becomes a substitute for it.
The Constitution is a secular document that created a secular government.
Thomas Jefferson — in an actual quote — wrote in 1802 that our First Amendment built “a wall of separation between church and state.”
In 1797, John Adams agreed: “The government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion.”

Noisy's moaning about his life has been going on for years here. It's not that life never gave him a chance. He had a project management job which he himself left to prepare food for 1/3 pay.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Yes and no, social media has its problems and limitations, but it is still a higher bandwidth communication protocol vs AFK interactions.

What is happening is people are Adapting to it. Of course, more WORK, is needed to optimize its abilities and impediments.

I don't know that humans can adapt fast enough before the total destruction of the ecosystem. But it's do or die.

The past 4 years, by my count. You think you're sick of hearing about it? Try having those be the permeating thoughts of your daily life for that amount of time (or try being my therapist.) I'm so ****in tired of myself.

I get more and more angry with the way that Google/Chrome relentlessly seeks to sabotage Firefox.

Recent changes have made it impossible for me to stream my favorite radio station.

So you mixed 2 different rice?
How do you fry it? Just mix those veggies with rice? Any sauce?

So you mixed 2 different rice?
How do you fry it? Just mix those veggies with rice? Any sauce?

The rice is pre-cooked before frying.

There are 2 methods for fry rice.

Regular fry rice, you need lots of oil to prevent sticking,

Hybrid steam fry rice,  stirfry the veggies, then add 2 cups of veggie stock, then coat the top with 1.5 cm of rice, cover and steam on medium low heat for 10 minutes.

The rice absorbs the steam and frying coming off of the veggie, and you don't need any more oil than what was used to stir fry them, after 10 minutes, you toss it all together in the pot with heat off, and it mixes without burning/sticking to pot.

Regular fry rice method needs at least 5-6 table spoons of oil,  Hybrid Stir requires only ~ 1 tablespoon.

Tp4 uses 2x type of rice to get a balance of stickiness and chewy-ness.

Yoo is not suppose drink salt water NT.

idk how it is even possible to gain nearly 10lbs in less than 48hrs, it's absurd

And another thing that is absurd; I cannot express the hate and disdain for the bus I have on such a deep and daily level
80 something outside, and I am standing at a stop with zero sun cover with like 12 other people for 55 minutes where the bus just decides to not show up and skip 4 entire scheduled stops. If this were Japan they would reevaluate the entire route and drivers, it is ridiculous how public transit can get away with such bull**** when desperate people rely on it to be on time. **** you bus system, you are the bane of my daily life. Every single day the bus inconveniences me, literal YEARS off my life waiting and riding something I hate with an absolute passion.

I find East Coast public transit to be far superior to public transit anywhere else in the US in terms of availability and reliability.
