It's just the way the nominations work. Some other very good boards with and without clacks/brobots have fallen short of the final stage.

And TBF, Yoe has made it in twice with a completely custom made board with no artisans, and won it once. If you look through the winners thread, you will see that completely custom builds have won three times already.

That's cool mayn, I just like to think that the process is fair as it's my little baby Sometimes we just have a month of awesome boards, where a number of nominees are really awesome, and it just makes it a tough decision for everyone.

I am slightly bothered by the fact that I am drawn towards an iPhone 6s... Might wait until the 7 comes out and get that as my next phone.

Also tbf it's listed as "with APL set", not "with clacks". Though that has little influence on how people might vote. Also, it was masterfully restored (just not by myself, but by fohat), so it is an incredibly solid and genuinely nice board.

I remember quite a few years ago there were third party tools that you could use to transfer stuff to and from iphones and ipods

IIRC correctly iTunes usually just references files that already exist on your hard drive, so you can play and manage with Musicbee and ask iTunes to monitor your music folder for syncing with no further tweaks or complications.
