i so wish we had +30... ever :(
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I'm bothered that my back got wrenched or something from sleeping wrong and it has only gotten worse today.

Also, it was cloudy and I didn't get to watch the lunar eclipse.

I'm a admin on a small MGS forum, there are almost no rules, except stupidity. One new member was subjectively an idiot and was banned by a mod, he then came back with a new account (same IP address) to rant at how unfair it was an how we would all pay. I deleted his post and IP banned him.

5 mins later a brand new account 'Gay Demon' is made and tries to spam post porn and fails... like what the **** is wrong with people lmao he only joined the forum a week or two ago

In the same boat, NC. My back and ribs are killing me and are all tight like knots. Tried my muscle relaxer plus tylenol and it just isn't cutting it. I really don't want to go get injections, and I definitely don't want a round of 'roids as they hop me up too much.

Hope you get some relief soon!

I've been on both sides of the fence and moderating this forum is nothing like the moderating on our MGS forum, but when people go after mods or what ever and just **** around trying to get banned for something and then complain about it and have a fit, it's just like... really? Lets be real lol...

Also, it was cloudy and I didn't get to watch the lunar eclipse.

The weather this past weekend.

Family camping trip: we set up camp mid-afternoon and waited in the tent for the rain to stop (supposedly by late afternoon), it didn't, we finally broke camp and scooped up our soggy muddy gear for a twilight rush to the car in near darkness.

Same rain continued for the next day and knocked us out of the eclipse, too.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

windows activation by phone

any company that makes you do this should have their premises completely filled with liquid ****

This I understand. I have to do this for air-gapped and DMZ networks, and it sucks. I just gave up and run Windows without activating it. I'm using server versions, and the only difference is that I have a black background instead of blue. It can be a pain to patch though unless you have it automated (which I do). In my case, I could proxy the registration requests through a Windows Activation Server that is on the same network, which will then pass it off as needed along with the response back, but that requires opening up ports, which they say no to.

I would suggest investing a really good pair of ski boots, since they enhance the skiing experience the most. Skis are nice too, but the rental skis are pretty darn good most of the time.

Hmm, I will have to consider that.  Part of me wants to just get both so I can do away with the hassle of renting every time.  I'll have to see what I can afford, I suppose.  :D

That just reminded me of what's bothering me in ski: my stupid large fet will make any ski boots uncomfortable. And I tried dozens. My toes are so compressed that I can't feel them anymore during the whole skiing. But well ski is too gud.

**** you guys last year I bought a ****load of ski gear to go skiing in the Italian mountains, only for it to be too hot for the whole of Christmas, except for one day, when it was too ****ing cold

#triggered

I'm considering taking the plunge and buying some legit ski gear this year.  I've always rented and only gone a few times a season, would be great to make it a regular event with my own skis.  :D  Of course I'm talking about the wimpy "hills" by me, not any true mountains like you folk.  ;)

I would suggest investing a really good pair of ski boots, since they enhance the skiing experience the most. Skis are nice too, but the rental skis are pretty darn good most of the time.

That just reminded me of what's bothering me in ski: my stupid large fet will make any ski boots uncomfortable. And I tried dozens. My toes are so compressed that I can't feel them anymore during the whole skiing. But well ski is too gud.

What size shoe do you wear?  I have this experience all too often.  :))

13/13.5 is usually good enough for the lenght, but if i want something comfortable for my toes, I need something like 15/15.5 => clown shoes eh
But you can't really do that for skiboots.

Living in Vermont most if my life I have skii'ed since I was 8 years old. Ski equipment at least nice ski equipment is so expensive I only recommend buying if you plan on going a LOT.  Buying Ski's boots and bindings its pretty easy to break $1k and that's before taking Ito account jacket goggles pants gloves etc.

In my opinion it is one of most fun and satisfying things you can do off of drugs and alcohol on this planet and I highly recommend giving it a try if you can afford it. That brings me to one of the biggest hurdles at least for me is a day pass at a decent mountain/resort here in Vermont is around $85-$100. There are special days where you can get in cheaper and you can buy passes or badges before the season starts for a decent discount however even as a student your looking at $500 for one of the cheaper options. Take into mind this is Vermont and I haven't been skiing the west coast in 5 years and I have no clue how pricy it is anywhere else in the world.

Looking for Black KMAC 2 or KMAC LE Preferably unbuilt kit but will consider an assembled board with clears Please PM me if you can help 8) Always on the lookout for KBK/KWK Bro Reapers,V2s and Clack factory skulls have lots of caps for trade

Agree on the whole price of equipment, it's expensive but it lasts.

The day pass seems very pricey, it's in the same range that the best stations in the Alps , I'm talking Courchevel, Alpe d'Huez, Chamonix.

Yeah, unfortunately I do need a new jacket and pants, so that'll cost me.  :-/  I'm prepared to spend north of $600 for the gear, but hoping to not go much higher.  Ultimately I'll just have to wait and see what's out there, I haven't really done much shopping in this realm yet so I don't know what to expect.  :D

But considering that renting costs me $80 every time, if I go just a few times per year it makes more sense to buy my own gear.

I miss it, I did a 4 month long project in one wasted evening. Don't even remember doing it. Still passed.

Can you even do homework before the last minute?  I thought that was a requirement.

This is indeed very annoying. However, the last time this happened it was this lady who had been giving all of us grief for way too long. She forgot she wasn't muted and was telling a co-worker how dumb we all are and how much she needs vodka after dealing with us. I couldn't stop laughing! I sent her an IM saying "I know in IT we are dumb and all, but you forgot to put yourself on mute".  :)) She didn't answer me, but she did mute her phone.

lol I typically don't do the whole last minute deal unless I hate the assignment. Which makes no sense, considering it only hurts myself.
