Yesterday evening and last night:

8pm - ****head down the road riding his noisy motor bike up and down the road (he did that half the night recently)
9pm - helicopter fairly close overhead, windows rattling
10pm - visitors arriving over the road, car doors slamming, childs yelling
11pm - another helicopter, not quite as close, windows not rattling this time
12am - visitors departing over the road, car doors slamming, engine revving, no childs yelling this time
1am - woke up with a stomach ache
2am - still awake, checked the internets
3am - probably finally got to sleep
4am - still asleep
5am - (actually 5:13) woke up, nearly time to wake up anyway, turn alarm off and start the day

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

In case someone breaks in.

Or my daughter calls out and my other half doesn't hear.

Or my other half calls out from elsewhere in the house.

Or a rodent actually gets into the house, instead of just in the roof.

hahahaha.. the trewth comes out...

he doesn't even have a daughter or a wife..   Those are just nicknames for his keycaps room and keyboards room respectively..

I'm also just guessing here,  but he's also a schizophrenic and hears voices in his head, of which he's associated with having come from his keycaps (daughter)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect.

I sleep within a couple of metres of all

Fool. You had best keep them under your pillow.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Means I'd have to keep taking them off and putting them back on the keyboards.

My keyboards are my pillow!!

http://gizmodo.com/5197114/pillow-keyboard-for-napping-on-the-job

this would make typing very difficult,  unless there was like a hard tray insert for when you switch between typing mode and keyboard mode..

But then you might as well just bring a pillow to work..

USPS seems to like to deliver all of my international packages on Mondays. Which is inconvenient as I have to wait for either my carrier to pick a random day to redeliver (this has happened before, even ignoring my specific redelivery requests made online), or go get them Saturday morning, and that won't work this week due to the meetup. Might have to rearrange my schedule to get these picked up :(

learning extensively about the pathophysiology of the disease that took your dad away from you and your family much too soon for school. Reliving the experience with every sentence you read is pretty damn painful.

Monday next week is forecast to be 30 degrees, and it's still only early "spring".
