Work rolled out tablets as part of a pilot program started under the previous department head. No policies and procedures were in place, it's haphazard rollout with terrible appointment keeping by IT, there's zero training on the software, and, best yet, they got us massive oversized iPad Pros that are a pain to take into the field, doubly so because they're coupled with otterboxes, are terrible for interfacing with Windows based software in the VPN, and are all around ridiculous. When we were asked about it, most deputies asked about the pilot program said a Surface would be better since we could use a mouse and had a nicer, easier to use keyboard, we could multitask, it's easier to transfer stuff to different documents and to load and save documents, and it has a better interface for our work. All input was ignored and we're stuck trying to figure out how the hell we're supposed to use them, especially since some of the facilities we go to don't have wifi and the walls block all wireless carrier signals.
My GF's mother always brings the stupidest **** over to the house and leaves it, as a gift. But the **** she leaves is just ridiculous... its like she goes to the thrift store and buys the most random **** and is like "MUAHAHAH, THIS will piss off redbanshee!"
