I made a new year's resolution many years ago to not make any more new year's resolutions, and i've been doggedly sticking to it.
So I usually respond 1920 * 1200 as I am not in a position to buy a new (bigger) monitor.
Yeah I've never understood the point. If you want to better yourself just ****ing do it, IMO people that set NY resolutions are people that won't follow through.
Speaking of monitors - can't wait till Dell release their new 21:9 monitors, I want some SUPER widescreen action so I can ditch my second screen.
LOL.. ur the biggest computer n00b I know... LOLOLShow Image
Keep trolling.
First you don't understand CPUs, now you don't understand monitors.. what's next.
Okay tell me exactly how I don't understand monitors. Do you even know what monitor I'm talking about?
the 29inch ultra wide is
26.49" x 11.17"
the 24inch is
20.4" x 12.8
Without the vertical height everything will be squished..
It's like you're back to using 2x tiny 17" 5:4 panels
The 21:9 is good for 2:1 movies, and it ENDS there..
For productivity, you're better off with 2x 24"
Swing and a miss. If you read my post instead of insulting me like a child you'd see I said new monitors.
P2815Q
28" Viewable area
3840 x 2160 Resolution
Still waiting for that explanation on why I'm a noob btw.
You can't do math.. that's not 21:9... You said 21:9 and I explained why ur a n00b, now ur double n00b..
HAHAHHAA... dude. .just leave now.. u done goofed.. I actually think ur an idiot..(rare)..
Nonono... I am putting on my new years resolution..
4 _ Be nicer to people online..
Hey Bueller, lets be pals.. I retract my statements.. you were bedazzled by all the new releases, and got confused..
Happens to all of us..

Ah **** I actually meant to link to the U3415W (3450x1440). Which provides more vertical AND horizontal resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio than my current two displays.
But you don't actually give a ****, you were calling me out before you knew any details regarding this. Which just takes me back to my first thought, you're a troll with nothing better to do.
The new 28" has the same problem as the current 29"
They're too small.. resolution is useless when the monitor is small because the primary factor to eye strain is viewing distance..
At close distance the eyeball is squeezed such that it can focus.
When looking at further away objects, the muscles relax..
WHich is why size is a priority over resolution..
Even though the new 28" has the resolution, if you intend on using 2 split programs on it, you will still have to sit less than 3 feet away to see the fine text..
I fully understand that, the correct monitor I meant to link is actually a 34". I'm well aware of the constraints with vertical resolution, my primary monitor is actually a 16:10 display because of this.
Bueller, First you said 21:9.. I roll with it.. I tell you why it's a silly gimmick panel..
Then you said sub $1000, so yea, that's the 28", I explained why that's a completely different monitor
Then you said in a separate post from above 'link" to the 28" , which confirms that you were talking about the 28"
NOW you grill me for not knowing what you're talking about, because you actually meant to post a separate monitor the 34" which isn't $1000, and is never going to be $1000.. which conflicts with ur first second and third monitor switch...
So.. I really don't think I'm in the wrong here.. when You've changed ur mind about 3 different monitors..
