The "Ask a professional Sifo" thread
« on: Mon, 06 January 2014, 21:24:16 »
I really don't want to do this, but **** it, It'll be informative and useful for you guys. I was kinda weighing whether or not I wanted to do it, and figure nothing too terrible could happen.

I've been a professional for 17+ years and will be making it 18 on February 27. Any Sifo who's turning professional currently most likely does not know who I am. I made many friends in school as well as online playing other games, mainly Call of Duty and League of Lesbians.

I will try my best to answer your questions. My answers are based off my experience, which is not "textbook".

Ask away.

I'm still an amateur Sifo.  I want to make it to the professional ranks, but I can only Sifo on weekends.  Can I get to your level by Sifo'ing 8-10 hours per week?  Or is this like a 50-60 hour per week thing to go full Sifo?

You'll need to dedicate at least 14 hours a day to become a true Sifo, but don't forget to take breaks when starting out.

How did you first become a sifo?  Could you explain how you went about joining and what it was like at the time you first joined?

I'm really interested in becoming a professional sifo but I fear I may have missed my chance by a few years.  I've heard you should really get involved when you're much younger, and after a certain point it becomes very difficult to do.

I was born Sifo.

What made you decide to go from amateur Sifo to professional Sifo?

What's the best food that you recommend for someone wanting to become a professional Sifo?

I had to go professional to continue on, idk. It was what I was born to be, you know? Also I would recommend a healthy serving of rice every meal + chicken wings, and once you progress beyond that, then your diet will consist purely of pizza.

I've heard rumours regarding your sleep schedule.  What kind of sleep regimen do you follow to stay on top of your sifo game?

Tsss, everyone knows that when you become a pro Sifo you don't need to sleep anymore, unless you want to act as a normal person once in a while!

Basically this, Sifos can live off of 0 sleep but we enjoy slumbering for an extended period of time once in a while.

Okay, I've been eating nothing but rice balls, chicken wings, and pizza for a week now.  And I feel great! :thumb:

Also, I signed up for an Intermediate Sifo class at my local Community College.  It's a bit advanced for me, but I'm getting a Sifo tutor.  I'm confident that I can make it to pro level in a couple years.

You may be inquiring about the perks of becoming a Sifo. Well, it's not all fun and games.

Would you all take a look at this.

Pretty, isn't it? This is my soul. It's where the Sifo's power comes from.

When you are chosen or become a Sifo, this magical keycap is born.

What I liked the most about this thread were the nice videos of Asian girls dancing. Besides that I wonder what is a sifo key and how sifo made into the ranks of exalted whatever at GH. For a vendor this thread is the ultimate marketing idea. Well done Mr. Sifo.

More info can be found there. I'm a vendor but this thread has nothing to do with what we sell.

Branding is the new trend in marketing, and it does not have to do with specific products but with building thrust on a person or brand. So, again these threads: Sifo's, Demik's are extraordinary examples of branding at GH. Applause and hat off!  8)
