Hey guys. Working on a stat project and need some data. So do me a solid, vote and tell me which web browser you use.

http://strawpoll.me/1804874/r

Feel free to talk about web browsers here too. What do you prefer when you're cicky-clacking on the internet?

Firefox exclusively for at least 5 years.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Chrome now, at home on Mac and at work on Windows and Linux.

Used to use Internet Exploder, before I learned better.  Atrocious performance, non-standards-compliant.  Too many toolbars.  Only recently got tabs.  Takes down the OS when it crashes.

Used to use Opera, before I learned better.  It was great until they fscked up the tab order, last time I tried it seems to randomly switch between tabs when you close a tab.

Used to use Safari, but only to test stuff at work.  It did some weird things, like closing all tabs when I pressed the back button, and had different font rendering to all other browsers.

Used to use Firefox, but performance sucks, memory management sucks, UI kinda sucks recently since they removed the menu and added a huge empty wasted space at the top where it used to be.

Chrome works.  Cross-platform.  Good memory/process management.  Consistent handling of tabs.  Good performance.  Good developer tools.  Nuff said.

Firefox can do syncing too, apparently.

Call me crazy but I love how everything is synchronized with my Google Account.

This is why I avoid it.

I have multiple Google accounts, and moving between them is a screaming, hair-pulling, cursing nightmare.

Every time I turn around, I have to extricate myself completely from the one and work all the way back into the other. It has been that way since the kindly benevolent Google Docs morphed into the hideously evil "Drive"

From within Chrome, it must be worse.

They've added some (new) functions to make switching between accounts easier.

Take a look at this.

Do you use the other components that come in the SeaMonkey package (email etc.)?
