Osu keyboard sub $100

Friend wants a board for osu. What would be good for that? Don't play much osu to understand what to get

I play osu. If they want something cheap they can always just get a TK, or a Leopold keypad from qtan with blues or reds. They come with PBT though, and Im not a big fan of how PBT caps feel for osu.

i would not recommend blues at all. some people may have issues double tapping. on osu you have to press like a million times per second so i recommend something linear. like cherry mx reds or blacks if your fingers have six packs. keyboard wise, go for poker 2, small and functional. it lacks arrow keys if that might just be the deal breaker for u. you could also get a cm storm quickfire tk. it is not that expensive, lastly, **** razer.

I'm rank 4.7k and I double tap and stream better with blues than reds. Ive also tried all cherry switches.. so there is that. It's majorly preference but it makes a lot of sense that blues would be better for accuracy due to the feedback and reds would be better for spamming/mashing through streams.

Arrow keys are necessary to navigate the menus if you dont have a mouse plugged in since a tablet pen doesnt have a scroll wheel.

I feel as if tactile feedback might be necessary to differentiate the clicks while streaming/jumping,etc.

Although, a lot of high ranked osu players go with reds

I, myself, suck horribly; I use 62g ergo-clears

If your friend just wants a board for osu and doesn't wanna deal with customization, just get him a retail mx red board

Edit: Another thing to note is whether or not your friend uses z/x alternately or just one button for his click. Might just be me worrying if it'll be too hard to spam one key on a blue/clear, etc.

I have this modified with every cherry switch except clear since I hate them for osu.

since you only use ZX any keyboard will do really. Just comes to switch preference. I like ergoclears because they are light and very non-fatiguing and still tactile.

Not many people notably mouse only. If anyone did, they quit. Shizuru did but he's banned now and he uses tablet/keyboard.

I just drag my tablet pen up and down the song-selection menu and I can navigate just fine :0
