KUL or CODE for cherry mx clear?

So after trying mx browns and deciding I would like a heavier more tactile keyswitch, I am looking for a board with mx clears. I also need arrow keys so the Poker massdrop isnt an option. This leaves me with either the KUL 87 or the CODE 87. Which board do you think I would be happier with? Just looking for opinions and advice. Thank you!

KUL feels more solid.  And they believe in their product: 2 year (KUL) vs. 1 year (WASD)

I have two CODEs with Clears. Both feel solid and well built. I have not used the KUL so I can't compare it against that. One negative thing about the CODE is the amount of ping it produces. It really annoyed me at first, but then I got used to it and now I only notice if I'm listening for it. Some of the ping issue is probably my fault though, I tend to really hammer the keys so I'm sure the amount of force I'm using is making that situation worse. All in all, I really like it. I bought a second to match my first so that has to be a good sign.

Hm I feel like the ping would drive me insane haha. My current keyboard does that with the spacebar and it drives me wild. I think I am pretty settled on the KUL but I'll have to sleep on it

Fn + WASD is arrows on the Poker. The full programmability of the poker makes up for all the missing keys.

Costar win.. 100%.. it's smoother, less sensitive to key cap warp induced stroke imbalance,

AND easy to fix / retune....  if something is out of place..

cherry stab, much harder to work with..

My vote is VERY MUCH for the KUL. It's just a better keyboard overall. I love mine.

+1 for the ease of use with the Cherry stabilizers. The stock keycaps on the CODE are very meh, and swapping them out with the Costar stabs was frustrating at times.

Yes that's a very good keyboard as well. There are also keycool 84's out there with clears if you can find them.

You barely missed getting a spare FC660M with clears off massdrop's July clearance sale.

Luckily, I missed it too, or my wallet would be crying. And thankfully the other boards for sale were all blues or reds.

Yea I just found out that this existed. Definitely going with this option, basically my perfect keyboard as far as switches, color, and layout. Thanks everyone!

I did the Cherry Stabilizer Mod to my KUL and I think that clipped Cherry stabs are better than Costar every day of the week. I never want to deal with Costar stabs again. Although that voids the warranty...

You - and everyone who has done this mod - should forward your research to KUL.  Maybe they will consider it and make it a standard feature.

Why do you say it has PCB mounted stabs? This is the second place you have stated this without backing it up.

 I just took it apart and did the mod (where I clipped the stabs) and I'm certain they are plate mounted...unless I'm totally wrong. I mean they are attatched to the plate...not the PCB. You have to desolder to remove the stabs. PCB mount you don't (unless I'm a total noob and wrong)

you're right, sorry, but I'd take the cherry plate stabs over the costar plate mount stabs any day.

WASD has already confirmed on geekhack that the ping issue is due to the springs resonating.

Wow the ping sounds horrible, I had a slight ping on my shift and enter, but I put orings on those.
