Update 8/7/14: After extensive cleaning and some extremely delicate reassembly, she's back in action!
Oh god, I have to get all these springs and domes back in place? Of course the JP variant would have single row sheets of 4-6 domes instead of the much larger sheets in a standard HHKB or Realforce

Needs some minor tweaking but things are back in place...

however I have to do the silence mod before I can reassemble since I will need the plungers to hold the rubber domes in place now that they are unglued.
In the name of speed, EK Softlanding pads were used and hand trimmed with nail clippers

After successful reassembly and flipping of the PCB, it's time to lube!

I seem to have messed up a few of the silencing pads as the U I O P J K L ; ' keys sound the same, but the rest of the board is sooooo quiet it's amazing... if I feel brave maybe I'll sort out the keys that didn't end up silenced, but for now I'm just happy to have my HHKB back
lub u HHKB

I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and band + lube it while I've got it in pieces waiting to make sure things are dried out - thoughts? Those that have tried both silenced and stock, which is your preference?

Please, take my mind off my crime against Topre so I'm not agonizing over it the next few days!
