Cherry MX Keycap Stabilizer Insert
« on: Mon, 15 September 2014, 08:30:47 »
Hio, i destroyed a stabilizer of my Qpad keyboard. Now i have the problem that one key is not fixed and wiggle. I found this article here: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/keyboard-parts/cherry-mx-keycap-stabilizer-insert-2pcs.html . As i live in Germany the small item dispatch feels really expensiv to me. Is there a cheaper alternative for germans?
Thanks in advance!

I thought QWER was carrying Cherry and Costar (what you've posted) stabilizers now.

Um.. how destroyed is it.....  this is all low tech stuff.. if it's not warped, and just cracked or broken-clean.  you can probably just glue it back together, and it'll work fine..

The Keyboard Co. is at least in the UK - shipping from within Europe might be simpler.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
