Turning the phoneme 'irth' or 'erth' into 'irf' -- "It's my birfday!"
'Picture' turns into 'Pitcher.' "Did you have a pitcher of your baby I can see?"
 :blank:

I agree with both of these, however I believe it's worth noting that:

birfday
is intentional

while
pitcher
is typically not.

Also, this post reads horribly, but I'm going to leave it.  :P
I agree, I think I must do this a lot so you may hate me, although it wouldn't be on purpose, apparently I say Bowt instead of Boat :X

I googled SJW and the first hit is "social justice warrior", but that doesn't make sense to me.  Any help?

People who are based out of tumblr who believe they are part squirrel, may or may not be trans gender depending on how they feel, get "triggered" by things such as homeless people, water, cars and the outdoors, believe there is a patriarchal system in place that constantly beats down women, and that all white men should die as a priority because women could carry out the human race on their own.

Also that "positive racism" is a thing, and that if you have a black person and a white person going for the same job, but the white person is more qualified, you should give the job to the black person because they've had less of an opportunity in life.

I do odd.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Yes yes yes. Any deviation of that sentence that implies they feel sorry for something that had absolutely nothing to do with them.

I usually just reply with "That's OK, I'll forgive you this time."

Even though I go to an art school, the word "artist" bothers me. People think I'm nuts. Guess what? They're probably right.

Only unemployed artists actually call themselves artists. So... almost every artist.

Otherwise they say something like "I'm a graphic designer, or I'm a painter." Then they go into detail about what types of materials they work with for the next 15mins and how their style is PoMoDecoNeuvoIndustrial but not like anything else that's been done before.

Sculptor, painter, illustrator, carpenter, metal-smith, graphic designer, product designer, industrial designer, draftsman, transportation designer, concept artist, architect etc. are all totally acceptable, pertain to actual (some very lucrative) careers, and I did not intend to discredit what I (my major is industrial design) or anyone else does in art. Design plays an incredibly important role in our world, and I do think highly of it.

However "artist" alone, in general, is too arbitrary to not sound absurd or pretentious. It just lacks any context whatsoever, and holds zero weight.

You have to draw out the s and overpronunciate the t like moissst
And make sure you almost whisper it and lick your lips afterwards.

I don't hate it, but I notice how frequently or infrequently people the word 'like' in normal conversation.

I hate myself for using 'so' in nearly every sentence. I'm working on it...

that's probably because people are using it in the wrong place... and for the wrong purpose..

fo rizzle and n##ga plz   works best when used to add levity...    but some people are using it inappropriately when they actually need to add emphasis/gravity.. <- this misuse is generally what comes off abrasive on the ear.

My bad...

Spell check says both spellings are incorrect, so I just chose one and stuck with it.

Lesson learned.

Hmm, Microsoft Word says 'per se' is correct.  I wonder if it's getting flagged because it's a latin phrase?

I hate when words are malformed for some effect that is pointless. For example:
  • that > dat
  • though > doe

I blame the Saints with the inexplicably stupid "who dat" phrase that has turned into an internet meme. Any case where the English language is malformed to a point where I have to stop and think more about what they're trying to say, rather than what is actually being said infuriates me. I understand that English is a living language, but stuff like "who dat" and "dat [noun] doe" is not something I can stomach.

Dictionaries should be required reading for children.

I do dis.  :(
I'm passing judgement over here.

I still love you...no matter what.

I hate it when people improperly spell words and phrases, such as per se...

 ???

My bad...

Spell check says both spellings are incorrect, so I just chose one and stuck with it.

Lesson learned.

The reason why it caught per se as incorrect is because per se is Latin.

I always laugh at YOLO.

I mean they're just stating the painfully obvious. Of COURSE you only live once.

I have a coworker that likes to say "too much fun" when she's frustrated with work.  Irritates the hell out of me.
