There are definitely people out there who would destroy a keyboard (or allow it to be destroyed) like that and blame it on the manufacturer while demanding a refund or replacement, and believe with every fiber of their being that they are a victim. They exist.

I still want to know how he managed to completely shatter the one LED. Even if he was using pliers to pull caps, he shouldn't have been anywhere near the LED

Yeah who doesn't own a wire keycap puller? He must have zero respect for boards

Not saying that not having a keycap puller is an issue...hell, I use credit cards to pull keys more times than I use my puller, just making fun of him for being dumb enough to use something that will DEFINITELY damage the board, then being even dumber and blaming the manufacturer.

I have seen YouTube videos where the person actually displays how to operate a keycap puller.
maybe it is just that obscure a process that people don't realise that the wire thing isn't some kind of coat hanger

Why are some people surprised by that? I worked in retail and saw this all the time.

I use a bic pen on most of my buckling spring boards. Saves time.

He deleted his comments, so I don't know it exactly.

Though I do remember him saying something along the lines of the keyboard not being in that condition when he tried to RMA with Ducky. It was only after his RMA request was denied when his keyboard was still supposedly in "stock" condition just with a faulty connection to his computer that he decided to destroy it and post it to their FB page.

There is no mention of any attempt to remove keycaps. Looks like it was hit repeatedly with a hammer to me. This could have happened in transit if something large, hard and heavy (like a fridge without any packaging?) fell on the package with it's corner. He shouldn't be complaining to Ducky, but rather the transport company.

Irony is that it probably still works perfectly, just throw some new keycaps on.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

The picture you see of the board scratched is just him raging at Ducky on facebook and attempting to give them a bad rep. I even saw him replying to every post on there for a while saying Ducky was a bad company or something. From the pictures I would say he jabbed it with a screwdriver or something.

Though, pretty sure he was just mad that he messed with his board and couldn't RMA it when he screwed it up.

So if you go to Reddit from GH and click the FB link in the Reddit post and look at the replies you get a link to Imgur that has a screencap of Reddit that I'm now posting on GH.

No way Ducky sent that to him like that, he won't even acknowledge user posts on Reddit asking about the keyboard. He just keeps going on about the facebook page...

Ah, so he got a new Ducky which apparently "randomly shorted out and registered keypresses randomly". He was denied a replacement by Ducky (who knows the reason for either the faults or the denial) and when he got vocal on their FB page they censored his posts and eventually blocked his account there.

So he went postal on the board.... And that image is the result.

Considering the not-so-retrained way he handled the situation I would imagine the reason for the faults was his own and that's why the warranty wasn't honored, but it's all just speculation by now.

I'd say his reputation has been harmed more than Ducky's in the end.

I don't think Ducky's rep is damaged... Just funny to me, oh company denies warranty allow me to jab my keyboard with a screwdriver...

the worst part is that he didn't even try to damage it superficially to try and get it returned under warranty, he smashed up the sliders+switch housings

Is there a thread? A Google came up with nothing. This sounds entertaining....
