A question...
« on: Mon, 15 December 2014, 22:50:07 »
Probably opening a can of worms here, but are there any reasons why I've been seeing more people muted? I've seen 3 people (esoomenona, noisyturtle and 1onewolf)

Any reason? Or is it none of my business  :-X
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

admins/mods are lame?

also, looks like talking about GH's sweetheart gets you muted instantly.

RIP MOOSE.

Looks like the mods are having less and less patience for **** posts and getting off topic.
I honestly go off topic quite frequently, although in a lot of my derailing posts I make a second paragraph of relevant information to respect threads I post in.
I wish we got an update/reminder on regulations and expectations as getting people muted doesn't really benefit anyone.

Looking at some of their more recent posts, I think I know what you mean...

That's why I did it in off topic so I don't get told off  :-X

But in all honesty, I don't think it's that. Otherwise TP4 wouldn't have over 7000 posts... ;)

Tp4 is like water..  You can put up a dam.. but eventually.. the wholesome goodness of his divine nature will wash away your prejudices and overwhelm you once more..

Usually unless your around when something is going down it makes no sense because posts/threads get deleted in the process of cleaning up after people when they go off the deep end.

Esoomena..  I think i was putting him on the spot for about a week, and he really exploded... my guess had been that he has that GF on the forum, and thus must not appear weak for his woman's sake..

Noisyturtle.. I thought he was the forum's cannabis extraordinaire, so if he's not all there all the time, that just the result of a playful lifestyle..

1wolf:  This guy is exactly like one of my cousins (Tp4 has many cousins, yes), he's just rude to cover up for a chip on his shoulder.. But deep down, you can tell the guy's wholesome and just wants to be accepted..   How I could tell, is he's not specifically rude, rather he's scatter rude..

Another character that's very similar to 1wolf is That puffy asian guy Cptbadass..  who also makes these silly outbursts of rudeness.. If you watched the Keycon video, you'd know what I mean.. There's no particular explanation for him being rude, he just defaults to that mechanism so people would take him seriously.  Which overall is kind of a kids thing, since hell he's a grown ass man from what i can tell..  Though as a sifo, he obviously looks young physically.

So in summation.. I find the whole mute, temp banning thing unnecessary,  because if any discord occurs,  it is part of the natural growing process of the young people of this forum..

I was at keycon and didn't see any of that.

me, I try to be equally rude to everyone. Sometimes I'm more rude than I should be though. I blame work.

"GH: The Slippery Slope" - A short story by CLiB

GH was a wondrous place full of delightful people discussing keyboard stuffs.

The R00TW0RM struck, and upon GH's return from near-death, it was just never the same...

Amenities such as the Arcade and general functionality were lacking. We didn't even have the beloved llama emoticon at first...

Then the Day of the Mods arrived. They suddenly popped up EVERYWHERE. Freedom was becoming scarce. People were scared, children cried to their parents.

Left and right, people were having their tongues removed by these mods. Some were even unfortunate enough to be executed by the banhammer. Others left willingly, knowing that things would simply never be the same again...

To this day, the struggle for freedom is real. But what is one to do, to fight this powerful force?

Many have tried, and died, fighting for GH freedom.

This is the story of the downward spiral of GH.

I've been saying it for years..

The TRUE reason GH is waning in popularity is because the rectangle is god-damn played out..

It's unergonomic.. Everyone knows this.. they all LOOK THE SAME.. so there goes the novelty factor..

the Split market is where the future of keyboarding resides..
