you have severe Psoriasis ?

Yes..  most of scalp, ears, left side of face, couple small spots on the back, and pretty much everything from the waist down >_<

Also Psoriatic Arthritis, mostly just in every joint in my body tho, so not too bad.  Walking hurts, sitting down hurts, laying down hurts the least.

  • Missed another sale.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Not to compare my problems with yours, but I also measure my medical expenses, and more frequently, vehicle repair expenses, by the opportunity cost in keyboards.  I could have "completed" my collection with what I spent on medical treatment and car repairs in the last 4 months.

You have to take that thing daily? I always saw the commercial and thought it was a pill... You know, they should advise people when that commercial plays. "The needle is the size of king kongs dong, OP today"

Not daily, for that shot ;)  Its 1 dose followed by a second dose in 30 days, then 1 dose every 12 weeks.

But yeah, that **** is expensive.. worth more than my car :p

I feel for ya man.  A buddy of mine has a pretty good case of Chrons.  His treatments I guess are around 40k before insurance.

The only shot I wish I wouldn't have had to get was the one in the butt cheek in boot camp.  Felt like there was a fist sized lump of concrete in there the next morning.

Two shots in the first 30 days.. then a shot every 12 weeks.  Don't think there is an end date to treatment, auto-immune diseases ftw!  At least this stuff is supposed to stop the psoriatic arthritis from doing further damage.

Yeah, sucks when it gets on the face.  I nicked myself shaving a few months ago, and a tiny patch started, now my entire left cheek is covered.  Nothing quite beats the groin psoriasis tho, cant walk or sit comfortably :P

How big would an 18 gauge be? I don't know how large the needle was but there were several monsters when I was in the hospital.

Yeah... Nope... Not inside me...

Speaking of which, I needed a shot while I was still really messed up and the nurse asked me where I wanted the shot and I said "You can put that anywhere you like as long as it's not in me"  :))

Eh, that needle doesn't look too bad, but I'm weird and have 0 fear of needles. Never have. I always used to watch when I was a kid, though blood draws are way more fun than shots, watching it squirt out. Blood donation is the best, that needle is amazing and it's fun looking over the side and watching the bag fill.

...Yeah I'm weird.

Also holy ****, that stuff costs more than I made in 2013. O_o;

don't you worry, the fear of needles quickly goes away, at least it did for me. I used to be scared of them, but 2 months of hospital with multi-syringes a day you don't even care anymore.

I'm not scared of needles but I wouldn't say I'm a fan, either way that 18 gauge is ****ing huge.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

Just read the safety information for that medicine, it can have some serious side effects. I hope you can handle it without any side effects. And I hope they will monitor your evolution closely, but that would be expected if you receive such medicine.

And for anyone interested in needle gauges, Wikipedia provides a nice overview:
