Das has announced on their blog they will soon be releasing a new product.

What are your predictions?

I personally would like to see a backlit 60% keyboard;
and Backlit + Cherry MX for their 4C keyboard.

I like them; however, I feel like they are falling behind. Currently, I would rather get something from WASD instead of a DAS. Why would one pay a premium price for the 4C if they don't even come with Cherry MX switches.

Putting my money on a 60%. Not that I'd buy one. The little dot there is just like the indicators on their other keyboards. It's gotta be the caps indicator.

Also, the dot is right in the middle, like the other caps indicators. Not that this isn't standard, but y'know, design and stuff.

Well that's just the normal location for their Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock indicators.

The hint does have me leaning toward RGB backlighting.

New guess. It's a standalone numpad with media keys, that's why there's only a single indicator for a Num Lock.

But yeah, I'd assume it's either a microphone or Bluetooth support. The latter is much more logical (and likely) as it would compliment their current line of keyboards with a wireless one to increase their consumer base, without overhauling the design of their current keyboards. Das has created a proprietary design for their keyboards since its inception, so there's really not much available for them to change without making a completely new design.

I like the keyboard, it seems like a nice mac keyboard to just buy and use naively without ever going this deep

Especially the F13 + lower/higher brightness keycaps are a nice touch, because that's what those buttons do on a mac (It's actually configurable, but they're nice default configurations)

But obviously it's too late for me, that das logo + the ten keys are a deal breaker

I see instead it has a CLEAR key.. and that it only has one LED light hole.

So the numpad only works as numbers?

For a minute I thought that DAS was going to come out with a mechanical numpad with Multimedia controls, which I think would have been a better idea than this.
