I love crab legs. I don't eat crab bodies, though.

I lived in Maryland for a year, but never got into the whole soft shell crab thing. I did eat quite a few crab cakes, though.
If crab legs are steamed perfectly, it is no trouble at all to break the shell and remove the meat. The trick is to break them at the joint first, and pull the tendon out. Once you learn how to do that, and which end to crack to get the meat, it's really easy to eat crab legs.
