Does age really matters when people with the same interest just gather around to share their thoughts, buying stuff together and having fun? lol, I don't care how old you are, as long as you're cool, you're young  :p

Jokes aside, 19 and trying to get my first Korean custom keyboard  :(

It matters because Fohat is a millionaire, and he's very hard to impress..

I've been balding since about 25; I knew it was coming based upon genetics.

Male baldness patterns are established in the mid-late-20s.

How the patterns progress is not necessarily the same. I have 2 younger brothers with the same pattern as mine, but I have retained considerably more of my hair than they have of theirs.

I've been showing signs of balding since I was 20, perhaps earlier. Hoping to the be the baldest guy at my 10 year high school reunion. Will be tough competition, though.

It has alot to do with stress.

If you got that stuff in ur life..  Good bye Hair.

All my stress is self imposed. I did play lots of baseball and work jobs that required me to wear hats or hardhats all the time. I think the abrasion while sweating a bunch hard something to do with it. I've notice that since I started wearing medium length socks everyday that my ankle hair disappeared.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

Boy, do I feel every single one of those years XD .

I started "feeling it" right around there, too.

Here I am having the exact same problem /facepalm
Glad I'm not the only one
Im 28 and I also have to focus and remember how old I am every time someone asks.

I'm 87

87 what?

And is anyone adding all these up to calculate the average?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I've put in about $2500 over the past two years. All of that coming from money I've saved from Christmas/birthdays/pocketmoney, and from money I've earned from work/CAD stuff. It's easy enough when there's nothing else you need to put money into.

My parents have certainly never given me money to spend on keyboards, but it's possible to build up a substantial collection so long as you spend time searching for things at good prices. I'd say mine's worth about $10,000 at the moment.

you'd still need some initial capital to obtain the starting keyboards, unless you inherited them from elsewhere.

that's what i mean. his post implies that his money came from the hobby itself, but he would still have to have money to start the hobby, which means it came out of his own pocket, unless he inherited the keyboards from elsewhere.

I have most of my keyboard money from the hobby itself from trading and selling.

you'd still need some initial capital to obtain the starting keyboards, unless you inherited them from elsewhere.

no worries, internet can't convey tone well.

i actually automatically assume people spend their own money on this. no proper parent would be dumb enough to give their kids money to blow on this ridiculous hobby :P

I wouldn't let my kids spend money on this hobby...because then I wouldn't have enough money to spend on this hobby for myself.

I had 120$ from my parents for a poker 2 and that's it. I also made money doing logos and server stuff for friends, so I had some money I carried over

yep, that's what i meant - you made the money yourself to start the hobby, then made more money off of it. your original statement said you got the money from the hobby itself, which is great, i'm glad you were able to do that! all i was saying is that to start that money making process, you still need initial capital - i.e., the money you made yourself from non-keyboard activity.
