What do you think of this incident?
« on: Wed, 10 June 2015, 01:23:19 »

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/07/us/mckinney-texas-pool-video-police/
There are a number of issues that this video raises.

Anyone who wants can just google the keywords and find out what mainstream views are. I will just throw in my personal observations here for a geeky unconventional discussion (as opposed to mainstream discussion).

Firstly let me suggest that the kids were in the wrong place. From what I’ve been reading around, this is not an exclusively white neighbourhood, there are black people living in it, but it is an upper middle class neighbourhood and lots of the kids were from outside.

There is a racial dimension, no doubt about it. But would white neighbours have turned a blind eye to an army of tattooed white bikers coming in to use their private community pool? Or an army of blond Amish kids wearing 19th century bathing suits in their pool? Just because you have 1 friend in the community that invited you, doesn’t mean that everyone else in this community is obliged to accept you. I believe invisible lines were crossed at some point, and these are Human Nature lines rather than Mason Dixon lines. Five or six black friends would not have been a major issue, but someone seems to have invited the entire (magnet?) school. 50 rowdy black teens is an issue. (Hell, 50 rowdy Chinese teens would also have been an issue to me, who cares about black?)

Secondly, let me suggest that the police response was overly ‘securitized’. This is a trend that I predicted in 2002 much to the displeasure of some US people. The problem is that when you treat everything as a security issue, you will be much more likely to take a confrontational stance. In this video it is not just one policeman who went berserk and drew his gun. Most of the police were pretty confrontational. In East and Southeast Asia the police are much more soft spoken and treat you like a citizen rather than a perp. The confrontational and intimidating tone of the police response in this video may have exacerbated the situation and led to kids resisting and running everywhere. In particular the kids who got the gun drawn on them would have been scared out of their wits because they didn’t want to end up like some other black kids who made the news as corpses.

The best response would have been to talk politely to the kids and identify the problem. Those who gatecrashed should have been escorted out of the neighborhood. Those who rioted (fought in public) should have been removed. But without talking to the organizers and the kids, you don’t know who is a trespasser and who is an invitee/ attendee who did not make trouble. Making everyone line up and lie down is only making everyone angry and uncooperative.

Conclusion

I believe this incident and similar incidents can be resolved by mutual respect and cooperation. It could have ended with the peaceful black kids continuing with the party, and the uninvited or rowdy black kids being removed. An adversarial attitude by both sides prevents a proper resolution. Unfortunately most US people prefer a confrontational, Us or Them approach.

**** cops

With that out the way, this power tripping piece of **** was the only one to cause problems. The 10 other cops were professional. The worst part is this **** quit so they wouldn't revoke his license and he can be hired at another PD to continue pulling the same ****.

You're assuming that the problem was solely the black kids who came to the pool party and ignoring the fact that it sounds like the "security guard" escalated things, that others at the pool were repeatedly heard using racial epithets, that a white older woman allegedly instigated the incident, and that no one really seemed to care about the white kids there.  Then when that insane power-tripping tacticool cop showed up, he escalated the situation and made an easily resolved situation start to turn out of hand.

Yes, the situation could have had a nice pleasant outcome, but don't make it seem like it was only the fault of the black kids.

In the end, it was a ****ty situation caused by people not liking "those people" coming to their pool for an end of school/start of summer pool party.  I guarantee you that there are just as loud and rowdy pool parties there for white kids and that they don't care.

Fundamentally, racism is fueled by large economic distribution gaps.

In truth, what makes one person (BETTER) than any other person,  NOTHING obvious, except the MONEY to his name.

If Black people were the richest people in the world, They wouldn't be offended by the word Nigger, just as White people are not offended by being a Cracker..

So this racial divide is visual in nature, but behind it is THE BANKS.

The Racial wars will not stop until people of all color achieve equal economic status with respect to control of the world's resources.

At that point, non-discriminant co-mingling will be possible.

BUT IMHO...... black people are the superior people.... they are physically stronger and faster,  the majority of the impoverished black nations may be behind on book learning, but that's only a matter of time.

How long will it take Whites to EVOLVE into great basketball players.. Much longer than it'd take a Black man to read a few books.

observations:

firstly am amazed that Demik now has 525 posts only. Did the mods punish him or something?

secondly, have some geeky/ nerdy response to TP4's claims about blacks being superior.

My thinking puts together well established science that anyone can research himself.

1) blacks are the oldest race. Whether you're talking about Bantu in Zululand or Twe-Twe in Congo, their lineages are vastly older than the Caucasian lineages populating the Ireland-Bangladesh belt, the Mongoloid lineages populating Asia and Americas, and the lineages of Australian Aborigines who are both 100% black skinned and yet as naturally blonde as the Finns.

2) an older race has more internal diversity. A black person is more genetically different from another black person than he is from a non black human.

3) more diversity = more opportunities to differentiate oneself in sports

4) that's why the world's most exceptional humans are black - ability to run, to sing, to be pornstars, etc.

This fact coexists alongside the fact that AVERAGE blacks are quite different. Look at the ordinary black people around you, and think whether they are capable of running fast or playing basketball. (If you live in Milwaukee or Chicago, chances are, they're shaped like basketballs not basketball players.)

Most black people you talk to, are never going to hold a tune. We tried karaoke in college; most of the East and Southeast Asians could sing and most blacks sounded like Whoopi (cushions).

Most African countries can barely field a competitive soccer team or athletes of any caliber. Usain Bolt is the survivor of centuries of forced survival evolution in Jamaica. The Nigerians and Ethiopians are not. (And yes, I can tell them apart.)

Years ago I watched Annabel Chong's world's biggest gang bang. Was very gratified to find that I am bigger than some of the huge (as in height, not some other measurement) black men out there. In fact whenever anyone talks about relative sizes of the races, I still invoke this movie, 20 years later, as a good guide as to actual lengths and sizes of American men with a bias towards larger (since they were preselected by the directors and confident enough in the first place to offer themselves for the camera).

Used to tell people, watch this and you will understand why most black men don't have self confidence. There's a reason why some people like to keep challenging the police and courting death.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Meanwhile in London

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Used the boost to get through followed by *barrel roll*

Personally, I've got a tinfoil hat on so feel free to disregard whatever I have to say about any sort of social or political issue, but it frightens me why MSM latches onto and frames incidents like this as "racist cops/unarmed blacks." This particular incident has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with a literal mob of young adults at an illegal pool party. Why are we being force fed racism?

Look at who the cop singled out regardless of how they were behaving.  Hint: it wasn't white people.

Well look at what happened at Waco. Cops illegally detained bikers. Lowering their bail if they said they weren't illegally detained. And word has it it was the trigger happy pigs that did all the shooting/killing.

Cops are a problem. They just so happen to have a side of racism to their god complex.

No, but what good is resisting during the stop going to do you? You're just going to end up hurt/arrested/shot, even if the officer is wrong. If the officer abuses their powers, sue them and the department in court.

'Racism' is human nature.

Which is why all kids are racists

I've heard some really foul **** come from a kid that was easily under 8 years old.

Cool, you have scientific evidence to back it up.

WTF? Why would I, or anyone on this board, have scientific evidence on any of this stuff? I said before this is my OPINION.

Not really. I never said racism isn't learned, I said that it is part of human nature.

I have another scientific evidence to back it up. I've seen a video where a white child is asked about what another child she more: a black girl or a white girl. She says "her" pointing at the white girl. Therefore, racist.

@jd (quoting wouldn't load)

1969?
That seems pretty relevant to the social climate of 2015 or even the last decade. I don't know about America and it's many states, but in the UK it's very common for your average classroom to have children from pretty much all the major racial backgrounds, something that wasn't really the case in 1969 or even 1999. I tried to read some of that study by the way and could only find access to the first page, without paying for access to the whole study.

But it's an interesting subject, do you know of anything similar published more recently?

Here are several works which cite that 1969 work:

But wouldn't you cite any work that agreed with your particular opinion/research? In the same way statistics are used to prove false positives...

My original concern with that publication was it's age, 1969 was along time ago and a lot happened in the 70s especially regarding race and equality, which must have effected the results of a similar follow up test, something which I think would again be true if it was done now post 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq etc etc...

I'm not trying to debate that racial preferences exist in children from infancy, as that has been demonstrated. I was just citing one particular example. There are more recent example, if you care to research the subject.

I have a racial preference for mulatto women. Probably I've been like that since infancy.

When you ignore a cops order you're going to have problems. Just shut up and do what they say, if you haven't done anything wrong, then you'll be fine.
Half the **** cops get away with is because people don't know their own rights.  You're saying we should just let them abuse their power?

No, but what good is resisting during the stop going to do you? You're just going to end up hurt/arrested/shot, even if the officer is wrong. If the officer abuses their powers, sue them and the department in court.
it helps when you don't go all "sovereign citizen" on them

But I can't help that the United States illegally annexed Texas in 1845. As a citizen of the Republic of Texas, I refuse to recognize their so-called Federal statutes...
