For realz.. The world is fundamentally good, because it does anything and everything to promote growth..
Despite the limits of that ideology, the premise and goals are correct.
There exist selfish individuals.. many of them make large decisions on our behalf.
But, no matter what they themselves THINK they've accomplished or accumulated.. they eat 3 meals, sleep and poop like the rest of us.. and when come age 70, they die as we do.
The balance of decision making and economic power is converged for the sole purpose of reduced communication costs..
Whatever selfish endeavors and thinking an individual may possess, does not alter the reality that we are intradependent as humans and interdependent as existences within 1 universe.
Our mental models of the world is through segments, we understand through derivatives and limits.
However, that disconnect is only a placeholder for a connected universe which currently exceeds our capacity.
