Never again shall i drink wine near my Realforce /Crisis Averted

*Do forgive the horrid formatting and grammar of the entire post but it's 5 am and i am going on approx 4 hours of sleep*

So last night i was sitting down to read and post for a little bit before bed as i didn't have enough time to get any deeper into dragon age Inquisition....Sitting chilling cold glass of sweet red wine next to me.  Heard my guinea pig whining like crazy out of the blue (Having had 4 glasses at this point i was slightly tipsy) so i stumbled a bit jumping out of my seat...and there it was

It was almost as if time froze and i saw the wine glass tipping over almost in slow motion as i must have knocked into it or hit the desk somehow...internally i panicked...heart sank.  Smashed my hand into the wine glass so hard i am AMAZED it did not shatter...Managed to keep it from hitting the keyboard (Where it would have fallen into) other than underneath the keyboard and tiny droplets under the left side modifier keys which i quickly unplugged the board just in case removed the side caps and inspected only to find a loose droplet or two i quickly dried with a Q-tip.  Thankfully no damage to the board was done (My carpet and wall is another story however).

I always used to laugh a little on the inside when i read posts like "HALP!! I spilled said drink on my keyboard! ZOMG!" thinking to myself how in the hell did you manage to do that....?

Now...never again shall i have a drink directly at my computer desk...ever, thank the Topre gods that be that wine did not fall into the keyboard.

I think I would rather buy a new keyboard then having to deal with getting red wine out of my wall and carpet. ...

I think I would rather buy a new keyboard then having to deal with getting red wine out of my wall and carpet. ...

Twas easier to remove than you'd likely think, however Sweet red seems a little less "Staining?" than darker reds like Chianti and the like.

Same here. Spilled vodka on a small section of my realforce just this week! Had to go to with q tips and alcohol to unstick a couple keys. All good now. It needed a good cleaning anyway!
