Help me put together a playlist...
« on: Thu, 28 April 2016, 10:54:29 »
Good day everyone, I just started to look at audio gear again after a few years of just using what I had. So, I have a new set of headphones coming in and I also would like to find some great music to listen to, that I may or may not have heard before. So here we are...

The ask: Let me know what are your 5 top songs you are into right now. I would like to leave it open to anything so that I get some new music to discover. I like pretty much anything but super heavy metal, and some rap. But feel free to suggest those as well if those are the song you really enjoy

The goal: I will create a playlist of these suggestions to listen through, and in the process I hope that I will discover some more music I may not have heard.

Hopefully enough people contribute, and maybe others may find something new as well.

Thanks in advance.

Best song.

It didn't work because she's not pretty enough.. you really need more star-power behind something like that..

I think if Keith just STUCK with one direction / gaming  ,  his persona would work,

but if he's going out and doing all that weird stuff... it's just weird...

Okay, so I'm at work, but from the few seconds I've listened, this song is interesting.[/url]

Lol, interesting is an understatement... And I find it hard to believe that most people would listen to it more than once or twice and become the song they listen though repeatedly.

:)

So many times have I bugged out behind the wheel blasting "Hip Hop", "Ante Up", and "Simon Says". Every time people stare as this nerdy white dude.

Def in my top 10 to just blow my ear drums to.

Ever since that time my bro helped me bypass the broken preamps in my coup deville I've played Telephasic Workshop by Boards Of Canada to test out new speakers or headphones. That Cadillac had a boss sound system that was somehow kept pristine because no one wanted to fix the problem :)

+ Pet Shop Boys - Yoko Uno - Walking on thin ice (remix)
+ Godspeed You! Black Emperor - East Hastings
+ Aesop Rock - Fishtales
+ Boards Of Canada - Telephasic Workshop
+ Black Violin - Triumph

I like a musical beat, so mostly rap that is only lyrical, is what I do not enjoy as much.

Thanks

Try The Roots. Full band. Every hippie kid that came to my place in Vermont that didn't know hip-hop ended up loving them and buying all their albums.

Yes, that would work as well. The whole idea even if some may be joking, is to find something new or that I have not listened to in a while. (That at least someone else likes)

Thanks

90% off topic but I have a big box of ripped CDRs that I need to get rid of. About half and half copies of actual CDs and mixes and best-ofs.
Mostly unconventional progressive and avant-garde rock and jazz from the 1960s-1970s. I like the weird stuff, but don't ask me about specifics, it has to be grab-bag as-is.

Send me a private message if you might be interested in something like 20 CDRs for $10 shipped domestic.
"It's 110, but it doesn't feel it to me, right. If anybody goes down. Everybody was so worried yesterday about you and they never mentioned me. I'm up here sweating like a dog. They don’t think about me. This is hard work.
Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."
