MX clear or black for responsive spacebar

I have a zowie celeritas with MX browns that I really enjoy but don't use much because the spacebar doesn't go back up very quickly.
I'm thinking about replacing that switch with a heavier one to try and solve the problem.

So what would be best? Mx Clear, Black or something else entirely?

are you sure everything is ok with your spacebar?

I have browns on most of my spacebars and it comes up very fast - I type 110+ wpm with no problems with a brown on the space.

Otherwise, clear would be the natural choice as it's tactile where as black is not.

I think probably the space cap stems arn't aligned out of the mold, leading to some tension in the stabilizers.

try to lube the stabilizers, any grease will work,

Try another space cap first. Maybe something wrong with your cap (e.g mounts aren't aligned correctly)

It seems that Zowie might have persistent spacebar problems - it must have something to with fit or setup.

I use cherry mx black on my spacebar & Function keys on both office (brown)/gaming (red) keyboard at home

MX Blacks are really springy, they kind of "launch into orbit" if you release them quickly.

It doesn't really interfere with my typing, it comes back up just after the actuation point quickly but then slows down, it's kind of annoying but it works. But I type at 40wpm not 110  O.O

Upon closer look it seems the whole spacebar is warped making it slightly convex D:
Using another spacebar really makes it better but it's still not as springy as my other keys. I'll also try lube it.

A hairdryer and a heavy book can straighten a spacebar quite effectively if you're careful.
