Does anyone actually USE the IRC chat ?

Anytime I have actually tried using the chat not sure I have once ever got a response...no matter the time of day tried.   Is it just all Bots/AFKers at this point?

Yep, was actually just in there sans 5 minutes ago seeing if anyone was alive but not a single response.  Maybe people are just on different time zones than I am.

Sounds like most of the IRC channels I've participated in. Every so often someone will type something (30-60min +/-) - but more often than not the channel would be silent for a handful of hours at a time.

I've used it a bit, then people (including me) moved to the CtrlAlt slack. I should pop in again, there are a few members who I've only talked to in IRC. Gotta tell brentarnold about my Del Taco trip!  :))

I use it constantly. For niche forums/topics its really great. Depending on the chan anywhere from 10-200 people in a single room for some topics.

I used it once and got an insane amount of help with my Dolch PAC. Made me want to go on there again but i've never had the need for a constantly refreshing feed of stuff I never catch up on  :rolleyes:

I used to use it a lot but wasn't much activity. There is #mechboards which is more active, but the most active is slack which actually can be accessed via IRC apparently.
